This is a review for a birthday party!…read more We had a fantastic experience planning a birthday party for my son at JumpinJax. Shannon was fantastic to work with to iron out all the details and answered every question we had. Marleen was our day of person and she was great. All decor and set up was ready when we arrived and they set out all the birthday treats for us. This facility is a perfect birthday spot if your group ranges from babies to about 8 years old. We had a handful of tiny tots and mostly kids between 5-6 and it was perfect. Everyone had a great time and I saw staff actively walking around cleaning up the place and making sure to contain the chaos and look out for kids safety. It's definitely not a cheap place to have a kids party, but it was definitely worth it. My only negative feedback would be that the parking lot is tight and got crowded fast. A lot of our guest had to circle for a spot. The second feedback would be that they could definitely benefit from getting a better caterer. The pizza was pretty disappointing even by a kids standard and they all went for the fruit and veggie plates originally got for the adults. Otherwise it was great! I would definitely reconsider having another party here or bringing the kids on a rainy weekend. Thanks JumpinJax!

This is the park that I go to the most for the convenience of it and it also meets my basic needs…read more Johnson Park is really not much to look at. It has a small play area for kids, a tennis court, and a soccer field. Most summers you'll find teams playing and the field itself is really beautiful. You can go anytime to use the field whether it's for soccer purposes or dog training purposes (which I've seen a lot of people do). The parking is really big and convenient. I've probably never seen more than 10 cars parked there unless it was a big occasion like the 4th of July or perhaps a soccer match. I only use the "trails" it offers to walk my dogs. The pathway is a mile down which follows the Hackensack River. It goes behind FDU and also the Bergen Academies. It's nice, quiet, and well maintained which is probably why I go so often. It's also never busy so I can go for a slow stroll without my dogs freaking out at other people/dogs. The play area for kids could definitely be upgraded but for now, it serves the purpose I need!

They brought music and items for games and helped us to have a really great time! It is EXHAUSTING running around in those balls. I took away a star because the balls kept losing air and needed to be refilled after games. The guys said they get new balls annually, so some of them were showing age I guess. We had a really good time, and it was a fun and different activity! Definitely worthwhile checking out with these guys!

Deerkill is by far the best day camp in the Rockland County area. The staff (from counselors to instructors) is also fantastic and a group of very experienced professionals. The directors are always developing new programs and bringing in the latest activities for campers of all ages. One of the newest additions to the camp is the climbing wall and zip line. My kids could not get enough of them. My kids are also huge fans of animals and the fact that Deerkill has a pony, and a couple of friendly alpacas is a great plus. Overall, I would recommend Deerkill to anyone that would like to provide their kids with the opportunity to have summers they will never forget making life long friends along the way. There were so many fun games for a 3,4 and 6 year old! My daughter loved the indoor playground play area! What I did not love though, was that it was $19.99! (Come on! That's a bit much!! In addition to the cost of playing the video games etc). My son wanted in too, but he did not even stay long in the indoor playground to make it worth it at all! Bummed. I was pleasantly surprised that we all enjoyed the thin crust, stuffed crust pizza! It was delicious. Even though our points didn't get us much prizes, the kids had an awesome time! Will be back!
