I've lived here for about 6 months now with my two children. It's sooooooooooooo quiet! I love it!…read moreWe only had one problem with our neighbors allowing their aggressive dogs off leash but the manager, Karla, took care of it quickly. Great value for the money, good schools nearby, dog park close as well. I love sitting out and just enjoying the birds. Pros: close to COTA bus, I 71, and shopping quiet as can be maintenance is tip top grounds are well maintained pet friendly spacious apartments all garden style affordable! Outdoor living areas Cons: No 3 bedroom floor plans Somewhat dated interior (I have three different kinds of wallpaper lol) No extra amenities available or offered like a pool or workout room. I wish they would offer like a discount to the Y or something.

I've lived here for a year with my boyfriend who's been here for 4 years. She walks around almost every day she works and says hi to everyone by their name. She even says hi to our 9 year old boxer by his name too. Grove City police drive thru about once a week checking on things and Karla keeps a good look out for mischievous people. The maintenance people are always so friendly saying hi and good morning when I'm on my way to work. Maintenance also is very fast on fixing problems. I even recommended a cowork to check in to moving in and so far him and his girlfriend love it. This is the first apartment I've even lived in and I would recommend anyone to check into moving here!!!

They posted a note on my door saying they were not going to renew my lease. Right in the middle of…read morepandemic! I was dumbfounded! I worked thru the pandemic and didn't miss any lease payments! Again I was dumbfounded! They would not tell me why I was being asked to leave. The only thing I can come up with is because I asked for service on my unit too often and one of the office girls didn't like that! They do have alot of power! Those girls will tell you face to face (or over the phone) that they have no control over who is asked to leave but I don't buy that; they are the ppl who know the tenants; the corp office doesn't know the tenants, right?! Go figure. SO BEWARE OF BROOKFIELD VILLAGE-----IF YOU COMPLAIN TOO MUCH THEY WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE! Read your lease ppl it is in there. It says they are not obligated to re-new. I didn't really complain, the place is rather dumpy and run down and dirty and moldy. I asked for repairs often which our lease says to maintain the unit. The final thing I asked for (nearly a year after living there) was if someone could come to my breezeway (I lived on the ground floor) and powerwash the massive bird poop all over the concrete and possibly paint the concrete. It was nasty dirty and stained; very embarrassing when I had company over. I tried to negotiate staying because I had no money to move and my daughter is immunocompromised. Moving in a pandemic was so risky for her. They would not budge. They did not care at all!!! Just awful! I certainly had no money for a lawsuit either. it caused a grave financial hardship for me. Again, they didnt care whatsoever! When we first moved in it was obvious that the walls had not been painted; couldn't smell fresh paint either. We were told the carpets had been cleaned but that was suspect as well. The blinds were dirty. The unit had not been deep cleaned. I did that before moving in and before I moved out. I asked for credit; they did not oblige. I had recently purchased a new wood platform bed and a memory foam mattress. I had to trash both on move out day because the wood legs that sat near a far corner wall in the master bedroom was covered in black mold; same goes for the mattress. The mattress had black mold in it. That corner in the bd did have mold pretty bad. I asked for reimbursement for the frame and mattress; they did not oblige. So as I said I was and still am to a degree quite astounded. Astounded that this company can ruin peoples lives like that. Beware. P.S. I agree with the other negative post on Yelp: lots of dog poop! They did away with valet trash pickup but we had a problem with the compactor all the time which caused trash pileup at the compactor. I had an ant problem also. I will vomit if they come on Yelp and apologize and try to act nice and act like they care. LOL P.S.S. Heads up-they will pay your last utility bill without telling you so that they can keep your deposit. IKR!? I had been paying the bill all along and I went and paid the last one as usual and BAM-----double payment. That caused a huge mess.

The day I moved in, the office manager Toby told me that the tenant living in my place before had…read moreit in the "worst condition he had ever seen" with "blinds black with dust". It was also bug-ridden...not bed bugs, but spiders, flies and smaller ones that looked almost like a mini maggot or a rollie polie. Toby's response was it's getting colder out (I moved in October 2017) and they're looking for heat/light. Awesome, thanks for the third grade science lesson. My shower drain was clogged upon moving in with water up to my ankles after about a 6-minute shower. They clearly didn't clean well. Paper thin walls. I had to provide video of the dog next to my unit barking non-stop for an hour in order to be "believed" by Toby about it. Toby lied to me about my apartment being exterminated/fogged after I complained several times. I asked for the company name so I could verify it, and then his boss emailed me saying it was a "misunderstanding" and it wasn't done. Maintenance had entered my apartment several times without giving me advanced notice. Toby did nothing about the constant noise above me. I was in a first-floor unit, and the male tenant above me constantly had his toddler and dog running around and yelling/banging walls from 10pm-3am, especially on weekends. He also must have had surround sound, because it was booming with bass. But because Toby said I can't "prove" it, nothing could be done. He also smoked weed on his balcony all the time...but Toby claimed is was a "classy" place haha yeah okay! He told me to call 911 if I thought he was violating a noise ordinance. I'm not going to waste our first responders' time on something that I can't "prove". And as soon as they would come, he would turn it off, so pointless. My car was broken into while I was here, and people were stealing money from the drop box slot in the office. Constant dog crap everywhere. Toby sent out threatening letters to tenants saying they'll be fined if they're "caught" not cleaning up poop. Good luck proving which dog's butt that a big pile of poop came from. People leave their trash outside their apartments and they use a trash service called VIP - $15/month. Non-negotaible. I refused to let my bags of trash/food sit outside my door to attract bugs, so I just used the dumpster. People left trash outside the dumpster all the time...lots of litter. Sent photos to Toby several times. Again, super classy place. Parking is forever an issue. Guests have to park up by the leasing office in 1 of about 10-15 spaces, or in another guest lot. But most times, tenants are parked in the guest spaces because there's more than one car to an apartment. They pay a towing company to drive around and attempt to tow people without a parking tag. I got out of my lease after 6 months...couldn't stand it. I was supposed to be there a year, and they cheated me out of my deposit because they said clear tape "damaged" the outside patio door (I had taped my Christmas lights outside). It's a joke. Beware. Toby will make you feel wrong and stupid for asking questions, and send little smiley faces in his unprofessional letters/emails to try to be cute. Oh, and watch out for the drug dealers. :)
