That kind of helpfulness is rare and so appreciated. If you're looking for a new read, smut or otherwise, a new bookmark, tote bag, or just looking for something new to do in the Plaza area, I can't recommend this place enough.

A friend and I went opening weekend and there was a line almost around the block. The shop itself was adorable! Various romance genres were clearly labeled so you can peruse different books, and if a book was not available the staff was quick to add it to an order list. The staff was incredibly helpful and gave some wonderful recommendations based on what I like to read. They also had local authors come in to share their books, talk with readers, and sign copies. I found four new books and can't wait to come back again!

I thought, well then, I can buy a used book or two to gift as a holiday gift. I always want to support the underdog, especially a used bookstore just before the holidays. Well, I didn't find any book that I wanted to give to anyone as a holiday gift but I found a used CD audiobook (Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson) for just eight bucks! I have a CD player in my car. So glad that I happened to find this place!

I think it's like 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' for book readers. Just an amazing array of all kinds of books of literally every subject both old and rare to almost brand new. The owner Lee was lovely and introduced herself and we enjoyed a good chat about favorite books. Another thing that makes this space so special is the kitties who run the store... books and cats - I'm in heaven!

First try's the charm, because the guy on the phone not only took his time to speak with me and answer all of my questions, but even went straight to the back to see if the record was still back there. He could have easily been lazy like some ppl do you and just give you the run around but he didn't and I respected that . They saved the album for me at the front and when I got there it was in great condition and the price was unbelievable . I didn't test it out on my record player first before I shipped it off to a friend, because I didn't want to risk it messing up with my iffy player . Anywho, they assured that everything is tested before they sale it, which made me more confident about going ahead and wrapping it up. The customer service was great and they were super nice . I just really appreciate them for being so professional and standing by their work . My friend received the album and was just sooooo excited . They have more than just new copies of the latest releases! They have used books! They have cute gifts like candles and art and jewelry and more! They have detailed staff picks that are featured! Books are clearly organized in ways to make them easy to find and you'll find every genre here. And there are reading nooks, so you'll never want to leave. I almost feel like a new book is like a pet that you'll take home and cherish forever. I'm so grateful for a woman-owned bookshop like That's Novel.

It is certainly impressive being greeted by Spider-man battling Doc Octopus overhead. Tons and tons of comics, magazines, books, games, etc. So much to see hard to take it all in. The only thing I missed were the displays of beloved titles from the 1940s to 1960s. So I was told of a huge comic show in Boston and large stocks were sent up there. A very impressive store. Everyone was very helpful and answered questions that I had. I even brought a small box of my personal comics for them to look over. They liked the books and the condition and we agreed on a price for them. Very nice people and very pleasant atmosphere.

The space is lovely and welcoming. There are board games and a high chair for your little one. You don't feel rushed at all. You see a variety of different people. On a Thursday around noon, there were a couple tables occupied, so not full by any means, which was surprising given the perfect weather. This is the epitome of a gem and a place Charlotte needs to love, support, and keep around.
