Oxtail with rice and peans. With extra cabbage.

The food was great and tearful. Very healthy portion, I ate it for two days. The staff were friendly. I will visit again whenever I come home town again

Back at it again. Jamaican flavor in the city. If you're looking for tender, tasty treats, you'll find 'em here. Remember bring patience along with your appetite. Hence the 4 stars. Minus 1 for the well worth it wait. Pro tip: Order the large.

Best reasonable, full filling , hole in the wall joint in kc the red beans and rice is a plus ! Ps Before you go you might want to call to see if jerk chicken is available! But if not the ox tail with extra gravy is really good as well

Seen you guys on my DoorDash and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed, everything was tasty. I plan on making a trip to the restaurant in the near future. I had the curry chicken, cabbage and rice & peas and it was

COVID-19 review: I'm so grateful that I live in an area that offers a wide variety of food offerings. Had my first try of this place and really enjoyed the food. I was expecting takeout only and there are tables pushed to the side, but no one was eating in. Portions are big. The current price of the ox tail is $18, but it is a very large portion. They had a sign on the wall indicating which menu items they were serving that day. None of the blackened foods were available. And the shrimp and fish take 45 mins?!? He said it's because they cook it up fresh? I guess if I want that I'll order ahead next time. I don't know if these menu modifications are because of a shortage of staff or supplies or what? I ordered the curried goat and it comes with rice and steamed cabbage. Everything had a good flavor and the meat was so tender. Warning: there were a lot of bones in the meat, both big and even tiny bones. Not something you want to eat fast. I guess that just forces you to slow down and savor the food more. The portion was big so definitely enough for two meals. I will be back to try other menu items and hope when the pandemic is over and things get back to normal, I can eat in the restaurant and see what the ambiance is like.

Not open. Called and no answer. Drove to the pace and it wasn't open anymore. If you are looking for good Jamaican food search elsewhere

The food was excellent. The service was good enough. I would certainly return for another visit when in the area again.

We hit up this little joint after a day hike when our whole group was completely famished, and it…read moredid not disappoint! It's tucked away in a bit of an unexpected location, but that's exactly where you find the best hidden gems. The restaurant was busy, which is always a great sign, and the staff behind the counter were fantastic--super warm and genuinely caring. You could just tell the food was going to be incredible. I ordered the fried plantains and the Nigerian chicken stew, which is a killer combo of Jamaican jerk chicken topped with a traditional stew, served with their special rice and cabbage. The chicken had just the right amount of kick and those incredibly deep, slow-cooked flavors. Truly one badass bird, and the sides held their own, too. Of course, I couldn't run away without trying dessert. I brought home a piece of raspberry lemon butter cake and a piece of chocolate butter cake. Even out of a to-go box later on, they were phenomenal. This place is warm, inviting, and serves up serious comfort food. Highly recommend going out of your way to give them a try!

Between a sweaty day of drinking and my inaugural World Cup game, something needed to give. Wah…read moreGwan was my answer to fill that caloric void and set the table for hours more of saturated celebration. Entering this cove of Caribbean meets Nigerian, I was pressed by the woman behind the counter. According to her, I would only get plantains. In response I mustered my best antagonist energy to match. Sure enough the menu opened up before me! Remember kids, it's press or get pressed... While she offered the last oxtail, I couldn't muster yet another slab of meat in KC that day. Instead, it'd be a mackable Rasta Pasta for this white boy. After a serving of P's and Q's, my dish arrived in kind. Lucky enough to dine alone I employed my best ravenous dog impersonation, breathing all of three times in the next ten minutes. It was as if world peace actualized, even for just a moment, in that bliss of now. Four big WAHGWANS from me!
