Located in the trendy britomart area, there are many shops and cafes located within walking distance. The waterfront is nearby as well making Espresso Workshop located in the perfect area. We tried their hot mocha this sunny afternoon. The espresso was perfectly roasted, and the chocolate flavor was very rich without being overpowering. With its subtle sweetness yet still slightly bitter from the coffee and cocoa, this was the perfect marriage between coffee and chocolate. I would highly recommend this place to others!

When I used to have classes across the road from here at the Kenneth Myers Centre, I always used to snab my morning coffee from here. The lady who owns the place is incredibly nice, and gave me a stamped coffee card when I became a regular customer to say thanks for dropping by 2 or 3 days a week. The food here is nothing particularly special, but good for a quick snack. I wouldn't suggest dining in though, as sometimes the workers talk quite loudly and it's very distracting. There's a nice park nearby if you need a good seat :)

I ordered avocado on sourdough toast and it came out on a piece of bread that was smaller than a slice of toast. I feel like I was overcharged for this and I tried to talk to the staff about it showing a lack of respect to their customers and that it was a cheap thing to do and they just dismissed me. I could hear them sniggering behind my back as I walked away. I will never go there again and I am adding this review so that other people don't make the same mistake by going to Gloria Jeans Coffees in Henderson.

Decor is pretty simple. Coffee- they roast everyday. You can get your pick of single origin coffee as well as the blended stuff. Makes the standard stuff. Hope they introduce v60 etc at some point! Staff- friendly and knowledgable. Gave me lots of tips on coffee and coffee places around Food- it's a coffee roastery. Not a restaurant. Spent a productive afternoon here. Definitely come back.
