I've taken everything from Pilates, yoga, cycling, tone, and Zumba, and you can genuinely tell that the instructors here are knowledgeable, intentional, and welcoming to all fitness levels. Huge shout-out to Karen, Kimberly, and Adrienne, who recently launched the new Yoga, Body & Balance routine. It was so well-structured, energizing, and thoughtfully led. Leonia, Viridiana, and Teresa also deserve major recognition for delivering consistently intense, motivating workouts that really push you (in the best way). What stands out most is the environment. These classes feel inclusive, encouraging, and community-driven. It's the kind of place where you don't feel judged but you feel supported. The connections I'm making in these classes are honestly a big reason I stay consistent. She continued complaining about her. I can definitely handle if they told me she wasn't ready for their class but she was just nasty and cruel! I've never seen an adult have so much animosity and frustration towards a CHILD. It was very concerning. We will not be going back. If she was that mean to my kid while I was present I hate to think of how they treat children during class when parents aren't around since they are not allowed to be present after the first class.

I have several concerns about the Bryan YMCA. To begin with, its swimming pool is probably the…read moreworst maintained pool in the Triad. It's often closed because it is so poorly maintained. I have swam in the Bryan pool when I could not the the lines on the bottom and when I would witness a cloud dead skin churned up from the bottom of the pool. Even after showering, I would spend much of the day with an itchy back after having swam in the Bryan pool. The other issue that troubles me is the attitude of the Aquatics Staff. They are seldom supportive and they often find minor issues to complain about when there are swimmers who clearly should receive more of their attention. On one occasion I observed an autistic/homeless man who found it very relaxing to submerge himself in the hot tube. The lifeguards were so troubled by his behavior that four staff members finally physically removed him from the pool and arranged to drop him from Y membership. This could have been handled with a lot more compassion and concern.
