Be aware that it's quite a distance away from the other two terminals, so if you have to take the air train between give yourself enough time. Like the other terminals in the airport, expect a lot of walking. They do have moving walkways but the airport is big. Getting through security was fast when flying back, but border control is taking a little extra time with the extra step of the automated machines. (Some of which don't work, which can be especially grating if you have a tight layover) They seem to be experiencing staffing issues because of summer and that made the baggage claim especially slow. Literally had to wait over an hour from the time the plane touched down to when the carousel started delivering bags. Parking can be expensive and a little chaotic with traffic. Overall though a solid airport.

Update - August 2026: Still One of the Worst Airports I've Experienced…read more Unfortunately, Frankfurt Airport still ranks as one of the worst major international airports I've traveled through. We still had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, followed by a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing. I personally don't mind the walking, but if you're older, have mobility issues, or have a tight connection, this airport can be a real problem. Passport control continues to be dysfunctional. There were only two or three police officers checking passports, while EU passport holders were given priority. The automated passport kiosks also seem rather pointless when you still have to present your passport to a police officer afterward. To make matters worse, the officers' computer systems appeared painfully slow, making an already inefficient process even slower. I've always thought of Germany as a country known for efficiency. Frankfurt Airport certainly challenges that perception. Then came baggage claim. We waited more than an hour for our bags to finally appear--and this was after our flight had already arrived late. For one of Europe's largest and most important international hubs, the overall passenger experience at Frankfurt Airport remains remarkably inefficient and frustrating. After multiple experiences here, I continue to avoid connecting through Frankfurt whenever I have a reasonable alternative.

Not even table or singe chair. They charge $80-$90 and more and don't even provide a bottle of water. I don't care about the size of room, even though it was pretty small. But simple necessities such water or tea kettle would be great. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I should spend $30-$50 more and get a room at a better hotel next to it, when I was booking a room.

Several places to eat at within walking distance. The train station is also within walking distance. The airport is literally two minutes away by train. If you are accustomed to hotel stays in the states you really can't compare with hotels here. It's like comparing apples and corn.
