My wife and I have not been able to take any long holiday outside of the city ever since we moved…read moreto Berlin with our 6 cats over a year ago, simply because of the hassle of bringing them to an animal pension, not to mention the risks associated with being around other cats, and especially the substantial prices they usually charge. Luckily, after deciding to look for a cat sitter we were pleased to come across Hauptstadtpfoten's website, which looks clean and professional, more so than the other sitters we found. Of course they say you cannot judge a book by its cover but in this case, that - and the other reviews on Yelp - were all we had to go by.
Thankfully our expectation were more than met. Frau Töbe made a house visit before our trip to introduce herself and present her credentials (which were impressive) and as well to get a good understanding of us and our 6 cats, and how we take care of them. Everything was meticulously written down by her after which she explains the way she and her team of caretakers operates. It was all very enlightening to see how *professional* professional cat sitters can be!
On our trip we were updated by her via email (she is quick to reply to you via email or SMS), gave us a report on what the cats were up to (who was being playful or naughty, who was shy, etc) and even sent us some photos of them at play. They looked happy, and in turn so were we.
We returned home to see everything was in order with the house as well as the cats, and there was even a postcard on the dining table with a nice message byFrau Töbe of what she and the cats got up to. All very thoughtful indeed!
We are already planning our next trip away from Berlin in less than 2 months and at least now we know we can call on Hauptstadtpfoten's services again, and don't have to worry about the well-being of our furbabies when we go. Highly recommended!
