The next person took a holistic approach to skin care, which I really was interested in, but skin got SO much worse in the 4 months under her care- it was really unbelievable. The products that she gave me gave me a ton of comedones, which made the texture of my skin so awful. I found Advanced Skin Care online and got two personal recommendations as well, which confirmed for me that I was making the right choice. It took some time to get things under control, but in the 4 months that I've been there, I have gone from grade 4 acne to grade 2 (at my last visit). It's been one month since my last facial, and I have had zero blemishes. I used to have 5-6 blemishes show up every 1-2 days. Ydali is really great! She is the only person I've seen there. I like her no-nonsense, careful approach. My skin is very sensitive and she has given me explicit instructions for incorporating each new product so that my skin could acclimate. Although I had various checkups over the years and this was not identified as a concern. He biopsied it, and it is a rare sarcoma that has since been removed and thankfully caught before it spread. Which he called before the biopsy came in. This man is so smart he had never seen this type of tumor only saw it presented in conference. It is literally one in a million. He also identified a spot on my arm that I had not noticed but I know was not there very long. This was melanoma. Also caught early removed with clear margins. Dr. Kern's expertise, thoroughness and skill has essentially saved my life. He is kind, and a true patient advocate. He and Maryann supported and comforted me and my family during the stressful time of waiting for results. He referred me to a specialist to remove the sarcoma and has checked up on me several for a progress report. My husband indicates that he is a super hero. I cannot say enough about this doctor. Having been in healthcare for over 30 years I have crossed paths with many great physicians. A bonus is he has excellent surgical skill as my melanoma scar is barely noticeable.
