He immediately had me take some x-rays, which I thought was going to be a huge waste of time and money because it was obviously just a muscle issue. I wouldn't be walking if it was bone, right? I was so wrong. Turns out that the injury is actually a broken pelvis. Dr. Nelson's intuition and on-site imaging technology changed my entire season over about the course of 5 minutes. I'm so grateful he didn't just do the basic physical that most doctors would have done and just assigned me some strengthening exercises. He got to the heart of the issue. What impresses me most about Dr. Nelson, however, is his bedside manner. He was so kind when I burst into tears and has been patient with me when I have argued (again and again) about what exercises he'd let me do. He knows I'm extremely competitive and is good at harnessing that to help me be the "best healer" I can be and get back to racing as quickly as possible. The whole staff is super kind and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Although I can't quite say it's been a pleasure being their patient, they couldn't make the experience any better.

had an extremely upsetting experience with Advanced Sports Medicine Clinic…read more I came in experiencing significant lower back pain, and I specifically told the doctor that I was also having abdominal pain and symptoms that were concerning to me. The Doctor still proceeded and gave me two steroid injections in my lower back. Shortly after being seen there. my condition became significantly worse and I ended up in the ER. I went into urinary retention, required a catheter, developed severe weakness in my legs, and eventually lost the ability to walk normally. I was ultimately hospitalized while doctors tried to determine what was happening. What has been especially difficult for me is knowing that I was trying to communicate that something felt seriously wrong with my body before everything escalated. Regardless of what ultimately caused my neurological symptoms, I wish my concerns and the combination of symptoms I was reporting had been taken more seriously and that I had been advised to seek a higher level of medical evaluation. After everything I went through--the ER, hospitalization, skilled nursing home, loss of mobility, bladder issues, and the ongoing recovery, I was honestly shocked that the clinic had the audacity to call me and still pursue my copay as though this had been an ordinary visit after what they put me through, given the circumstances, I would have expected significantly more compassion and consideration. This experience has had an enormous impact on my life, and unfortunately I would not feel comfortable returning to this clinic or recommending it to someone experiencing complex or rapidly worsening symptoms under this clinics care.

From the initial consultation to the follow-up, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and surprisingly affordable. Dr. Chappell took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease--no rushed visits or confusing jargon here. Even without insurance, it was cheaper than what I'd have paid at the University of Utah with insurance. The surgery itself was quick and straightforward, and the recovery was super quick. I was fully functional within just three days, not the two to three weeks I was bracing for based on what I'd heard elsewhere. My wife's hands are dropping things now it made it worse. I wish we had gone to IHC medical like we planneed. DONT DO IT. If you do record when you pay any time and always ask is that all I owe. I'm pretty sure 9095% sure that I got it recorded. I recorded just about everything that day including the lobby when we were in the lobby waiting and she was paying so I hope to find that so I can sue these liars. I was fortunate enough that this place is about less than two miles from home so it is an easy and fast commute. Came here for the first visit back in Feb 2021, and there are currently two physical therapists that practice in this location. I was assigned to Austin and from day one he was compassionate and personable. Austin is very patient, engaging, and very aware of my recovery journey. If you think he's not looking while you're doing your exercises, think again! He will correct you and/or up your weight when he knows you're ready for it! The front desk manager, Jess, is soooo friendly! She makes you feel like you're a part of their family at first visit, and is also very personable! She makes you feel like you're a long lost friend and just chats it up with you when you come in, or about to leave. Steve, the owner, I have gotten to know a bit as I'm now one of the veterans there and he has such a caring attitude about you and you can feel that he is really there for your well being and will do what it takes to aid you in your recovery journey. The physical therapist assistant crew, are seriously the BEST people you can be around with! Yes, you see your physical therapist, but they also put you in the very well trusted hands of their assistants, who are the ones responsible for setting you up on the exercise machines properly, assisting you off the machines, setting you up with electric stimulation therapy, and ice/heat packs. Physical Therapist Assistants: Bailey, Elanoa, Baylee (Mon/Wed/Fri crew) and Taylor, Marty (Tues/Thurs crew) are really phenomenal in what they do. I have been there over 5 months now and each of them has gotten to know my routine, my timed machine exercises, and they don't even ask me where I'm going next, they set up the next machine for me w/out me asking. This is truly a phenomenal physical therapy location as the staff goes above and beyond to make their patients feel like family and truly taken care of. They really are your cheerleaders when you're there!

Despite downloading this "my chart" which was promised to be better, easier etc., the opposite is true. I have my results from the Imaging and other tests but my doctor doesn't. Both providers say they sent them to us at the same time. I even offered to provide them. The PFM receptionist told me I must make an appointment with a technician to retrieve my records, felt like I was being hustled for a co-pay, she seemed more concerned with the collection of a copay than resolving the problem. I paid them money on time. I showed up for the appointments on time. Patients have to navigate complicated insurance bureaucracy, pay thousands / year in premiums plus co-pay before services rendered, another copay to make an appointment to get records then another copay. I'm frustrated and confused why the patient has the test results but the doctor doesn't and the technician said they will not make an effort to get the results of the tests they ordered. I guess I will have try and interpret the results myself as Premier won't lift a finger-to get the results of the tests they ordered from the provider they sent me to. Good people in a broken system, who cares? Not the PFM reseptionist.
