The guy that worked on me did a great job when he was actually massaging me which was about 1/2 of the full amount of time I paid for. The other half he just swept his hands up and down my back not sure what he was doing. When he did my neck it was like a 2 pressure wise which I had asked for a 7. So that was disappointing. When he did my shoulders it was a 7 and perfect. I would not go back to this location I will stick with my usual Odessa one. read more

I had an hour foot massage (was supposed to be 30 minute foot/30 minute chair, but they misunderstood me) on Thursday, July 7th. By the evening of July 8th, I had several itchy, pus filled blisters on my legs. By Sunday, they were red, swollen, and painful to the touch. After attempting to apply an antibiotic cream to them with minimal success, I finally went to the doctor today (7/14) where I was told I had a staph infection. The gentleman doing my foot massage did not wear gloves, so I can only imagine the bacteria transferred between something on his hands. He started with my left leg, which has the most bumps. I now have to take 10 days worth of antibiotics to clear this up. I have been getting massages for over 20 years and have never had anything like this happen. I went there after work and feel relax after the massage. They have a good option of massage (full body, combination, on chair and foot only). I've tried their combination and foot, it's really good and refreshing. You can choose how strong you want the massage too. Once you get into the store, they will ask you to fill in the paper with your choice of massage, how long you want your massage and how strong you want it to be. Very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. We can't all agree on everything but I personally hate people talking to me when I'm getting a haircut or a massage, the idea is to relax, so I totally disagree with the negative comments about the language barrier. Love the convenience of just being able to walk in without an appointment, they offer couples massage. I'm used to the masseuse applying oil but you keep your clothes on, so that's not an option, which brings to the end of my review. I do not like the fact that you are exposed, even though they have a sort of a devider between beds, it just isn't enough. I like my privacy but if you don't have an issue with that, DO NOT miss out on a good experience. If it wasn't because you're out in the open, I'd give them a 5 star review. This place is awesome and it's affordable and they do deep tissue as well and you get the massage right then and there and they will walk on your back!!!!!! I come her every time I'm in Midland and they do a great job and I travel all over the country and get massages. The only down side is that there is a language barrier but if you just kick back, it really isn't an inconvenience. That being said if you are a person who is NEEDY/PICKY and wants to be in control of the whole experience than this place is not for you because they will not understand you. This is a brand new massage/reflexology studio, so new I had to add them to yelp. There is not much English spoken but you can get your message across or so you hope. I typically like the harder the better. Levels of Pressure is like going to a Asian restaurant - what is a 4 or 5 to them is a 15 to us white boys. They can definitely make you squirm but in a good way. I like it that it is walk in and clothes on even for laying down. There are some things they do different which I will say have never happened to me. 1. The ears- I get a little massaging of them for relaxation but she put her fingers in them and pulled around. Odd but not a deal breaker. 2. Like a Thai massage they walk on you... make sure you get one that is under 150# or you will be hurting. 3. Even though clothes are on they put a towel on top.. that's just odd but whatever. In the end the pain I had that a chiropractor and masseuse didn't get rid of is 75%gone. I have been about 6 or 7 times now and every time I have left so relaxed! Great prices! Very Clean! Very convenient and they have professional staff. Since the base price is so low, I usually tip $15-$20, on a 1hr massage and I encourage others to tip well too! They are hard-working and for an hour massage (plus tip), it's still much cheaper than Woodhouse or other options around town. I know the atmosphere is different than Woodhouse, the massage itself is definitely better (even leaving clothes on)! Depending on the pressure you like, I would definitely start with 3 or 4 (which is medium pressure). I have been going to the newest location (on Midland drive behind Grub). The new location is not on yelp so I'm adding my review to this one. I have been to both Midland locations and they are great. Highly recommend! read more

I was really looking forward to this massage. Initially wanted to go to the one in Odessa on Friday but forgot my wallet. After the great reviews I ended up here yesterday. The wait was long but it was a walk in so i didn't mind. I was looking forward to relax. I could see that the guys especially were more gentle and therapeutic. I had an older lady that was rough. Even for my foot massage she was throwing my feet up and down. Not relaxing at all. Then I am guessing it's the boss there or something got upset at one of the other workers and started to shout loud!! I couldn't believe that behavior was acceptable in a place that people are paying to relax. He shouted for what seemed like forever. I had to take the towel off my face to see who could possibly be so rude!! He turned out to be the guy that was checking me out. The whole place is loud in general not a relaxing house as it's called but even the lady giving me the massage apologized and is the one who told me he was mad about something. This is probably going to my joint! I was recommended by a fellow coworker of this place. Especially since I was just in a wreck and my muscles felt tense and needed some one to work me over. I went with a full body massage and level 7(which is the highest). The lady whom was my masseuse did a fine job she even got and walked on my back! It was so nice to feel the tension starting to be eased from my body. I haven't had a massage in such a long time! Last time was at a hamam in Rabat, Morocco I believe. This is pretty good value for the services performed and I will return when I do need another relaxation session with the wonderful staff. Tbw, this was inaugural time at this establishment. Just okay. Masseur was nice, language is a barrier. I bought the hour mixed massage and don't feel like I had the full hour and there's no time stamp on check-in to verify. After about 5 minutes on the table in first part, it became too hot in the cubical and a little fan would have been nice but they pointed me to go to the foot massage chair where it was cooler when I finally got the message across that it was too hot. I darent let the towel across me stay from the start as it was warm there. I felt I paid for a full body, full hour but he didn't touch my neck, upper shoulders and upper arms.bthe foot massage was about 35 minutes long. It could have been a little quieter and ambient temp cooler to suit me. Still I tipped $10 although the manager was a bit rude when I tried to explain I didn't get my full hour, it probably wasn't the masseur's fault. Language barrier didn't help. read more

I arrived around 6 PM on a weekday and was seen immediately. If you want to walk-in, just sign into the form near the register, to the right when you enter. (If you want to schedule an appointment, you do so in the book on the table directly ahead, once you enter.) You can choose a table (body) massage, chair (foot) massage or a combination (which is what I chose). The time-frames are 20, 40 and 60 minutes and I opted for the latter. The only other question they ask is what pressure you want (from 1-7), so if you have any medical conditions or special requests - make sure and let him know beforehand. There are no walls in the building and there were probably about 6 other customers getting massages at the same time. Even so, it was relatively quiet and they have several types of ambient sounds going on at the same time: such as piano, crickets and a waterfall. The place is dimply lit, so it is definitely a relaxing ambiance. You only remove your shoes and socks, so I suggest wearing a t-shirt and sweat pants to your appointment. This is a great place for someone who has never received a professional massage and/or anyone too shy/modest to remove their clothes. The therapist I ended up with a therapist named SAM and he spoke very basic English, but it was obvious that he was trained/worked in China before getting certified in Texas. He used a mixture of accu-pressure and deep-tissue massage techniques and it was the best professional massage that I have ever received (and this is coming from a prior certified therapist). I have recommended him to my friends and family. I also plan on giving gift certificates, from Relaxing House, as gifts to them throughout the year. *** My one hour combo massage cost only $35 (+ $10 tip) and I plan on having a routine massage with my new-found therapist every 2 weeks. *** read more

My daughter and I both got the full body massage on a 3-4 level for 30 minutes. It really loosen up my stiff neck and relaxed my muscles.
