Some of the problems were obvious and others were hard to pinpoint, but the effect was a mishmash. My daughter called Susan and after several reassuring texts, made an appointment to come into The Wedding Dresser. From the get-go Susan understood what was wrong & how to fix it. Her team went to work. The dress was how it should have been - masterful work, a talented team, and able to pull it all off in record time!

I reached out to them to get a $650 dress slightly adjusted and hemmed. This was not a complicated…read morealteration as I as assured by the professional I ended up hiring (about 2h of work). Susan quoted me over $1200 for this adjustment, and when I said this was more expensive than my dress cost, I received the most unprofessional and rude response and was quite taken aback. "Yes, we pay humans who live and eat and pay rent in the United States, which is very different from the people who made your dress so it is usual that for dresses under $1000 alterations cost more than the dress. Good luck with your hunt." They don't know where I got my dress from, and I'm also someone living in NYC and doing my best. I think people are allowed to charge what they want or think their skill is worth, but I also think the wedding industry has lost their minds. I found an independent professional who did a beautiful job and charged a fair price. I have other dresses to be adjusted until my big day, and had considered saving them if I needed help for my main dress which will be more expensive, but based on this rude and entitled response, I already know to never go back to this business again.

The lady employee was dismissive and not interested in accommodating my wife's needs in finding the appropriate attire for my son. She then assigned another young male employee to assist my wife who also showed no interest in helping. My wife then exited the store and drove over to Men's Warehouse in Totowa where they greeted her with a smile, showed respect, transparency, gratitude, and professionalism. These are the values that Jos A. Bank should train their employees on.

I asked the lady could you show me something similar to what I was wearing she "directed" me to the section. If there was no one else in the store I felt it would have been good customer service to have shown me a few options. She did the same thing with the shirts, now I have to sift through the shirts. I'm using the Springfield store as reference, they are much more helpful. I ended up buying 3 shirts I'm bringing one back. I am not a frequent shopper but when I do shop I like pleasant experiences. Hugo Boss in Short Hills mall treats you like a valued customer no matter if you buy a pair of socks or a Tuxedo!!!! You don't have to be all over a customer, but a little attention is good, learn how to read the room. I'm not going back, at 51 years old, one time is enough to turn me off forever
