My neighbor and myself both received quotes at the same time and because of this Alex gave us a better deal due to a one time job rather than multiple, which was easier on us as well as him. He arrived at the scheduled time he said he would and his crew (including himself) got started right away. They actually worked from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm without stopping, even for a break, and was able to finish everything we had agreed upon. (Removed 4 large red maples, 1 rain tree(located in a tight area between the houses), a large heavy Pindo Palm that literally leaned over my pool. He also included grinding out all of the stumps as well as cleaning out and trimming up my large oak at the front of my property. He and his crew were very professional as well as courteous and did an excellent job. They cleaned up after and blew off the driveway as well. It's nice to find a company that follows through with what they say as well as showing up on time which is a rarity these days. We met Alex, the owner when he drove by our yard and saw us struggling to take down a rotten tree. He gave us such a reasonable quote, we could not say no. It turns out that he's done tree work for several of our friends and they have all had the same great experience. Alex and his crew texts when they're on their way and show up on time. He has all of the equipment of a big tree company without the overhead so he's able to give a very reasonable quote. He's also extremely honest and let us know that several of the trees we had thought to take down were actually healthy and would bloom come spring time. The entire crew was exceedingly polite - not only to me but to each other. There was no swearing and no yelling and no texting on the job. I was happy to see that everyone had hardhats and safety harnesses when necessary. And, there were no cigarette butts laying around at the end of the day which was a pleasant surprise - no one smokes on the job - even better. Alex gives an honest estimate and sticks to it. There are no hidden surprises. I have given his business card out to all of my friends with tree service needs. I would not have hesitate to recommend him for any job. They are licensed and insured and Shawn's wife is a certified arborist. The two man crew arrived at 8 am the very next morning and got right to work. They were very competent and answered whatever questions I had and verified with me the scope of work and whether I approved of the way they were trimming. They had all the required tools and equipment for the job. My wife and I are very happy with the work completed and feel we were charged fairly. I give them credit they came back and cleaned up but I shouldn't have to tell them to do that . Next problem is they destroyed multiple sections of my lawn when they did the paver installation and they did not intend to re-sod the damage areas. I didn't understand why they didn't have a plan to repair the damaged sections of my lawn and why they expected me to foot the bill for the repairs. I had to pay for the sod and the labor for them to repair the grass they destroyed. So I was very unhappy with this part of the job. I think it's fair for the customer to expect the company to fix the grass if they destroy it. They did a good job laying the sod I had to pay for.
