For weeks now there have been "just three or four more" jobs to do before they can do ours...they've had our snow blower for 6 weeks now, and it's was n originally supposed to only be a couple weeks. I would not recommend them. I don't know if maybe the gentleman is just getting to old to keep up or if its truely complete incompetence. I've been dealing with Dan at Reliant for a number of years. He's always been very honest and very fair with me whether I brought him a mower, chainsaw, pressure washer, leaf blower, whatever. I like how he is eager to share information with me about the problems, causes, and most importantly, the preventative maintenance I can do to avoid seeing him. Obviously, that means less business for him, but that's the kind of guy he is. I just got off the phone with him a moment ago asking advice about a small engine problem, and he was very free with information, again, not something you'd get from someone who wants to take your money. This is the kind of small shop we see less and less of in our world today. Personal service, from a person that is always there, who is always responsible, and who has absolute expert knowledge. As to the other poster on here - dropping a snow blower off right at the start of winter, yes, it's not surprising that a shop like Dan's can get overwhelmed with everyone discovering their engine won't start after neglecting to care or even think about it for the rest of the year. Good small engine repair guys are hard to come by. Dan is a stand-up guy that knows his stuff. He will tell you when he is expected to get to your job. He will give you an honest estimate with a time frame. He is busy so, the time frame may not work within your schedule. If it's an easy job, he fits it in and will get your repair completed in good time. If you have something that's not running, it may take time to figure out the issue and then order parts and then repair. I'm not sure of many other places that get the job done as well as Dan, for the price and in a respectable time frame. read more
