They were very responsive and the first to respond in the early evening after my texts to all three. I had provided and clear description, size of the driveway and photos. Fanter Services replied with a price range that was acceptable and his telephone number. I called and he said he could plow between 10 am and noon the following day a Saturday. On Saturday at 10 am he arrived and plowed the driveway with professional care, friendly service and completed the job quickly.but carefully and safely. The price he requested was on the very low end of his estimate and I was very pleased. I engaged him for our plowing in the future whenever we have more than 4" of snow or when a multi-day storm stops dropping snow. If plowing is not needed I can call or text him. I would highly recommend that if you need snow plowing in the Wasilla area that you contact him for service. He accepts cash and credit card. The other two companies I texted both replied. I replied just after I retained Fanter Services and the other said that could not do it as the were fully booked for the season.Great results for the first time use of Yelp for something other than food.

I searched and got a selection of possibilities and read their listings. This was Friday afternoon and I was asking for service as soon as possible. I selected three and sent them a description of task, photos of my driveway and an estimate of measurements of the drive from our AS-Built at closing. I asked they respond with a price estimate and time they could do the job and provided my phone number in addition to the Yelp response. Fanter Services was the first to respond in both Yelp and call my phone with an estimate and a time at 10 am the next morning. The other two replied and one stated he could not take on additional customers this season. The third reply would have been possible but I had already responded to Fanter and booked them. He and his assistant arrived promptly at 10 am and contacted me so I could move our two vehicles. He proceeded to plow my unusual shaped driveway. It is reasonably flat and all concrete. But nearing the house it spreads to the left to park a vehicle and provides a path to the porch. On the right is a large two car shop with the driveway flowing at 90 degrees straight to the entrance. He plowed all those areas very at a very reasonable price. I asked if he could take us on as a regular customer and he agreed. I told him to return any time he thought appropriate or when it snowed over four inches. If it is a multiple day snow storm to wait until it quits before plowing. My first attempt at using his services and Yelp was outstanding.

I used Lawn Ranger for several small lawn jobs the past few years at one of our homes. Mostly…read morespring cleanups. The work they did was acceptable. But they were always bad at communicating. Communicating what they'd do, communicating when they'd do it, communicating how much it'd cost. Nevertheless, this summer I decided to ask Lawn Ranger to also periodically fertilize our lawn. Every four weeks, we agreed. However, they didn't come in July as scheduled. And they didn't respond to the emails I sent over a two week period asking them what was up. So I did the work myself. Then, without checking with me first and despite my emails, Lawn Ranger came and fertilized the following day while I was away, slightly burning my lawn. We could have gotten past this miscommunication. Perhaps I could have paid for their materials, something like that. However, that ended when I learned that Lawn Ranger CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE WORK WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. They knew they screwed up, but decided to just charge my credit card and hope I wouldn't complain. I NEVER authorized Lawn Ranger to keep a copy of my card and bill to it as they saw fit. Plainly, what Lawn Ranger did was save my number from a prior authorized charge, and used it without my permission for the unwanted July fertilization. I complained to my credit card issuer, which promptly refunded the unauthorized charge. The credit card company then gave Lawn Ranger 45 business days to explain its side of the story, but they never did. Obviously, Lawn Ranger realized they were wrong to charge my card without my authorization and opted not to fight it. Oh, and when I politely emailed Lawn Ranger about what they'd done, they responded with a very unprofessional email full of excuses (claiming they were delayed due to rain, despite no rain having fallen), name-calling (that I was a "scam artist"), that I was "harassing" them, and that if I told anyone about what they'd done they'd sue me for defamation. Lawn Ranger's crew is capable of doing the simplest types of lawn work acceptably when they feel like it. But for those of us who also need their lawn service to be responsive and professional and to not bill unwanted work to a credit card without approval, I suggest a look elsewhere.
