I do not usually do on line reviews,so here goes.I am returning to the RC hobby after a very long time and as such am just floored by the technology surrounding our hobby.I stumbled upon Mike at RC Hobbies earlier this week as a result of a on line search for local hobby shops,Mike invited me into his business and showed me around,I needed some assistance with a radio/plane rig......that was purchased somewhere else,I felt horrible bringing it to him for help,but Mike insisted that it was cool and to come on over.Mike greeted me and made me feel welcome in his shop....and what a cool mix of modern stuff...all over the place....bad place for a ADD/ADHD guy like me,once I got my bearings in the store and began to explore,as Mike went to work on my problem,Thats when I found the wall of "real old school" RC stuff....Sullivan,dubro,great planes...etc..etc...every little widget or thingamajig you could ever need to finish,or start a project....all in our own backyard !!! I could type for a while about the store,Mike and his meticulous attention to customer service..it would all be well earned too,I have to confess I have been back twice already !! I would absolutely urge all you B/more RC enthusiasts to check Mikes place out.....and buy some shit from him !! How lucky are we that this guy took a risk setting up a retail hobby shop with all the internet competition ? Well the internet will not be open on sunday to get that 2/56 clevis that's keeping your plane from flying.I know this got really long...In closing,If or when you get a chance to see this place and meet this guy and feel like every other person that's been there....then make a commitment to support this guy !! way to go Mike and best of luck with your new buisness read more

RC Hobbies at 1512 York Rd. Lutherville, MD. is the BEST RC Hobby on the EAST COAST. For starters just walking in the door there are so many RC'S to choose from Cars, Trucks, Boats, Planes, Drones and Yeah Even Rockets .All the other hobby stores I've been to only show you the boxes on the shelf. RC Hobbies Did it the right way. you can actually look at the cars out of the box on display. 2nd. I've never seen so many parts for RC Cars, Trucks, Boats, Planes, Drones and Rockets. And Last the Owner Mike is so pleasant to talk to. whether you are buying something or just looking he treats you with the up most respected. I didn't know what was wrong with my RC Truck and he took the time to show me and also fixed it for me. I will definitely be going their for all my RC Needs. read more

Theres so much great stuff i have to say about this shop i dont know where to start. First of all, the amount of cars on display when you walk in makes you feel like a little kid in a candy shop, very easy to get lost drooling over all the sweet cars on display. Beyond the incredible display of cars, the owner is extremely knowledgeable and was super friendly and was eager to help me out when i destroyed my car the day I got it. Lastly, all of their prices were extremely fair and they had a huge inventory, everything ive needed from there so far has been the exact prices ive been able to find online except i dont have to wait for shipping. I brought in a RC car that I put together with my son 28 years ago and I received excellent help finding replacement parts and getting it back on the road. Now my son can run this car with his kids, how exciting, its going to be a fun Christmas this year. The staff is friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help. It is really exciting to have a quality hobby store finally back in Baltimore (for you long time hobbyists), this store reminds me of the old City-Wide hobby shop in Parkville (over 40 years ago)... I am a 11 years old and love the world of RC's. So, I came here to look or buy something and as soon as I got in the store, my face lit up and I had a great time looking around. The staff were nice and helped my find something I would like and ended up getting a rc plane. This was the second time I was there and they had lots of stock. The first time, they did not have much but they did this time. They also had good prices for what kind of RC's they had. Definitely would recommend! read more

Very cool shop owned by a really nice guy, Mike. I found this spot on FB and popped in as I was just getting started into quadcopters. He took my newbness in stride and gave me a tour of the shop and listened while I asked a ton of questions.
