The nitro cold brew was overly sour, which is normal for cold brew but this was too much. My honey lavender latte was okay. I thought it was a homemade infused syrup that they had but it was just store bought that they combo both together. Also, I'm all about saving the planet but something about paper straws I just hate!! They fall apart and change the flavor of the drinks....Overall, we will not be coming back. read more

If you're on the the Loop then this is a great place to stop to enjoy a pastry and tea or coffee. It's a great hangout spot with bike parking, free wifi, a charming patio, and cozy interior. I ordered the matcha latte with oat milk. It was frothy with subtle grassy and earthy notes, sweet nuttiness, and bitter undertones. The downside is that it was served lukewarm. They offer watermelon and cucumber water or regular water as help yourself drinks. The pastries are a mix of delicious looking muffins and scones plus a whole row of vegan and gluten-free energy bars plus some huge gluten-free peanut butter cookies. I had a raw vegan energy bar made with almond butter, chia, oats and topped with chocolate drizzle. I was in the area and stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat. The staff is not the friendliest nor were they rude. A simple hello or smile goes a long way. I ordered the Latte Miel, a cinnamon and honey coffee. It was good and sweet. However, I know sweetness always makes everything taste better. I also ordered the TBA, a turkey bacon sandwich, I enjoyed it as it was really tasty. Now the reason for the three stars is the cleanliness of the cafe. After I finished my meal I looked up and noticed all the dust that has accumulated on their light fixtures and wires they have on the ceiling. Looks like it's years of dust, which really put me off, and made me think how the condition of their kitchen was. I also noticed the sticky fly traps on the bottom of the windows, kinda of disgusting. I understand flies are everywhere. However, maybe make the traps more discrete. read more

This is a tough review for me to write. Ten has some good coffee, and their staff is always, always friendly and smart and efficient. The patio area is cool and part of the St Phillips Plaza. But... I can only give three stars because of the flies inside. I've tried sitting inside with my coffee four times - whether I'm by the window or in the middle of the place - and every single time there are flies everywhere. And you can't say, "Well, it's Tucson," because there are plenty of other coffee places that don't have this issue. The first two times I came here I assumed it was some fluke due to the excessive rain or whatever. But then I realized that Starbucks and Caffe Luce and Cartel and others don't have a fly issue. I tried Ren two more times because like I said their coffee is good, but really their staff is just outstanding... but I just can't handle the flies. I hope they resolve this soon because I miss going there. read more

I was so excited to try breakfast here. Ordered the fig, pear and goat cheese bagel, my friend got the bacon egg and cheese bagel. So disappointed in both. Barely any cheese at all, four tiny slices of pear, and maybe half tbsp of fig jam. The bagel was clearly not fresh. The bacon bagel was not better. We stopped into Ren on a recent Saturday morning while we were waiting for the St. Phillip's Plaza Arts and Crafts Market to open up. I delighted to see they offer a variety of organic drink and food options, as well as a variety of organic, vegan, and gluten free drink and food options. Although I am not concerned about contracting COVID I will make note for those who are that Ren has taken precautions, including ensuring patrons observe distancing while waiting in line and installing various shields/barriers to protect employees. There is also a fair amount of outside seating in addition to the indoor seating available. Although it was my first visit, it appears Ren is constantly updating their menu to offer new/interesting things: I got a decaf Lion's Mane Latte made with oat milk (my husband and I are mushroom enthusiasts) and a vegan almond butter bar they make in house. My husband got a decaf latte oat milk latte and a gluten free pastry. Everything was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. We may have to make starting our Saturdays at Ren a habit! I continue to be impressed by restaurants and coffee bars that open during the pandemic. Ren's counter is covered by a makeshift plastic table covering on two sides. Instructions for wearing masks are posted on the door, tables and other points people are likely to linger. Coffee is very nice, the bakery items are fresh every day, and there is a good breakfast/lunch/snack menu. Super cute little coffee shop filled to the brim with bicyclists fresh off the Rillito bike path. There were also people on their computers and friends meeting. I wish I could rate this place 4 stars but they don't carry lemonade. What coffee house doesn't have lemonade!? This one. I really wanted an Arnold Palmer but sadly it was not meant to be. They had a couple iced-tea options. I went with a citrusy one. I found the flavor weak and not very citrusy. Perhaps it was because she had to brew a new batch for me and it needed time to steep. The food looked ok, a couple salads and sandwich options. Please put lemonade on your menu :'( Also another note, in the 1-2 hours I was there I saw no one busing. Several dirty plates and cups were littered about. It didn't seem like anyone working there cared about the cleanliness or appearance of the coffee house. Went here this morning looking for a place to study. It's a nice little shop in St. Phillip's plaza with a nice patio. There's a few spots with outlets accessible on the inside and nice comfy chairs if you're just there to read or sit and chat. It's a little on the loud side for my preferences, but it is a coffee shop and not a library. I got the macchiato, which was good, but a bit smaller than I'm used to getting for ~$4. I also got the smoked salmon toast, which was good, but nothing special; a little on the pricier side at nearly $12 for one toast. I think I'm just a little peeved that the price wasn't listed (that I remember seeing), which is just a pet peeve for me. Overall, good experience, but, as a broke student and to make this cost effective, I'd stick to the baked goods and cold brew. read more

Went here on a Sunday late morning as it's right around the corner from my house. There is seating inside as well as outside on a front and back patio area. One person manning the register, one making drinks and one making food. The girl at the counter was nice, but was having difficulties ringing people's orders up correctly. It caused the girl in the kitchen to make a duplicate order of food which then pushed everyone else's orders back (she could only make one order at a time). They guy making the drinks was churning them out - again the girl taking orders messed someone's order up and he had to remake stuff. My boyfriend got an iced Carmel latte with an extra shot (it was a really good coffee), and we ordered 2 of the TBA paninis to go. Took about 25mins to get our food. Got home and opened the box up, it was a slightly pathetic looking panini. The bread was barely toasted - it was so light I didn't even think they had toasted/grilled it like a normal panini. There was 3 pieces of sliced turkey, borderline uncooked bacon and 4 slices of avocado on the sandwich. We each had a couple bites and then threw it out. For around $25-$30 this was a massive waste of money. Still gave it 3 stars because the coffee was really good, the people were nice and the patio area was good. read more
