I have done all of my certs (BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS) at their Temecula office off and on for the past 10 years. I have found that testing has become less stressful over the years in general especially compared to in-hospital testing in the 80's. But these off-site centers are not only low stress but actually fun. Like others have mentioned, I love the mixed in humor and easy to learn/re-inforce learned materials here. I have never had a problem, it saddens and surprises me to read that others have. I have only been met with friendly and well prepared instructors. Front office help was professional too. This current ACLS/PALS certifications were the most stress relieving. For the first time, I attempted the online course via eLearning.heart.org and just could not pass the last scenarios no matter how many times I tried. So much anxiety for old schoolers like me. I hope to only get re-certified at low stress places like Rendon Revive. The location is good but the building is aging. Too bad the central heat is not used is not used in the winter. I appreciate the complimentary bottled water and chocolates. read more

Best and most affordable place to get cpr certifications, I would give them 10 stars if I could! I purchased a combo package and was able to get ACLS, PALS, and NRP all in the same day. Jeannie and Dr. Rendon were my instructors, and they were both the kindest and most informative cpr instructors ive ever had. Got all of my ecards within one day by email. They are very easy to reach and respond to inquiries immediately. My original reservation wasnt for another week, but a job application that I was interested opened up so I wanted to get my certifications sooner. I called Dr. Rendon and he was able to get me into all three classes the night before! They are very flexible and accommodating. Went there for a combo and trusting the company I paid in advance thinking everything will be ok. Well things didn't go as planned and I had to cancel the class and requested a refund. That did go well, I sent a message telling them that I have been going there there for years but non of that mattered. This was their reply " As it was explained over the phone today, I have unscheduled you from your class appointment with us per your request. Your account has an unused credit of $249.00 that can be used for any future class with us and it is good for two years, Expires 4/15/19. In addition your credit is transferable so if you have someone in need of a class they can use this credit on your behalf." To me this is unfair I ended up paying 600 dollars just to get both because they wouldn't refund me. Thank you. Have a great day!! read more

Suzanne, MD was my instructor and she was such a sweetheart, I had class the day after a night shift and she was able to accommodate me during my lunch break so that I could finish. This review is specifically for the Temecula Rancho California location. Signed up for the initial 3-course package for a great price. It was during the covid-19 situation, so class was fewer than 5 individuals. Took my PALS/EKG with Suzanne over the weekend and she was amazing. Great instructor who cares about her students' learning. Her teaching was funny, efficient, and effective. I originally was skeptical about the receptionist's communication during class scheduling (I had to ask for notifications and what equipment to bring and she didn't even tell me what time the class was, all of which I had to constantly ask about) so I docked a star. But the 4-stars are for Suzanne. I will be coming back to this location to get my certification renewals with her. read more

I have been an LVN for 10 + years and decided to take this course for IV Therapy and blood withdrawal and was hesitant at first due to my lack of experience with IV's. In california LVN's have to be certified to deal with IV's. Even with a certification an LVN can only start an IV (insert) and can only hang hydration IV's not medications. That is a task only RN's can do. The instructor is a very experienced elderly RN. She was very nice and very knowledgeable with teaching the course. The class was small only 4 people so we got lots of time with the materials to learn. In short I have learned a lot from this course. Ms. Patricia Nowlin RN made this course fun to learn and i would be glad to say she is one of the best teachers ive had in years. I would definitely come back for other courses if she is the instructor. read more

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! I just completed nursing school and one week prior to my NCLeX date I signed up to take ACLS, PALS and NRP. I was almost able to get all 3 certificates in one day, but was disappointed with this business. The instructor was nice and knowledgeable, but I wouldn't recommend any of my coworkers or classmates to come here. 1. I called prior to my class to find out if it was okay to bring a pdf version of the books, I was told yes! When I arrived at class and opened my laptop and began to look at my book and take notes the instructor stopped the class on 3 occasions to ask if I needed my laptop on. Once I closed the laptop she came over and said "oh I feel bad, go ahead and use it." It made me feel very uncomfortable that she stopped the small class to speak to me about an approved device multiple times. 2. I signed up for the initial ACLS courses and was placed in a class with 2 seasoned healthcare professionals who were re-newing their certificate. I feel like the information was rushed since they were already familiar and I didn't get the expansive review of cardiac rhythms I was hoping for. 3. There's no class structure. Each person in the class was asked/offered a different lunch time. 4. For as much as you pay they don't even print your cards out for you! 5. While I'm finishing my PALS test the instructor starts the NRP class in another room (which I also paid for and was suppose to be apart of) 6. When I finally said something the instructor asked "well I get paid the same regardless so it doesn't matter to me if we stay late, but did you think you would be able to finish all 3 in one day" 7. I had a blast taking this class! Not only was the instructor knowledgable, but she made it very helpful in memorizing the important things -- using both visual and auditory hints. Although I was doing an initial class, I got some help from those in the course who were renewing -- allowing me to get some additional tips and hints. I would recommend this for anyone who is in need of Renewal or were thinking about taking the class initially. My nursing cohort just took the ACLS, PALS, EKG, and airway class and loved it. We learned more in these classes than our nursing classes. They taught the course so that everyone can learn the material. Both instructors were funny and very smart. Some of us even decided to schedule and take another certification course with them because they are so good at teaching this class. I live in El Cajon and many of us live far away but it's worth the drive to get the quality teaching they deliver. Very happy with the service here. read more

Dr. Rendon is an excellent teacher, patiently answering all our questions during the ACLS, PALS, EKG, and IV refresher courses. He actually drove to us in San Diego, meeting us at a private home to cut down costs. Over two days we reviewed BLS, were lectured on new material and practiced skills. He even bought us lunch both days! Dr.Rendon has vast clinical knowledge and many tips on learning and remembering key concepts and protocols. I was able to get hard copies of my ACLS and PALS certifications after passing the written exam. Then the others were emailed to me the very next day. Unfortunately i cant leave 5 stars... I went for a cpr class, i was renewing, and there was some first timers there... The instructor didn't seem prepared for the class.. Apparently it was a different dvd than the ones they used and she was totally lost, they dvds are usually really good explaining the basics and pretty much the instructor will go over again to make sure everything was covered and answer any questions ... Right?... She started the dvd when it was already time to practice the skills... So she kinda went over the basics, but the first timers were lost!.. They were asking very simple things than should have been explained in the video... After all it was a smart group and everyone got a hang of it, and the instructor was a little rude with one of the participants by the way... Because he didnt do it exactly her way, which i dont think it was right. Not enough manikins for everyone to practice, aeds, mask, we had to take turns using them. Another thing... They DONT hand you your card after the class!!.. I did my class and i got mine monday almost at 5pm and because i kept calling... And afterall.. It was late for me, and couldnt turn it in in time to my office so i could work that night... So their lack of responsability to us cost me a shift ($$) (yes, i shouldnt wait last minute to renew either) and its an e certificate.. Not a card, so make sure your company its ok with it They sell you a book for $21 and a cpr mask either $5 or $10 depending which one you get and we didnt use neither the mask or the book in class... I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because by phone and front desk they were nice and polite... And i think it was the owner.. He welcomed us and told us where bathrooms are and coffee.. HORRIBLE!!! I purchased and scheduled the course very easily online. After the date did not work out, I attempted to reschedule for the online training course (WHICH YOU STILL HAVE TO GO IN for 2 HOURS to participate in a SKILLS SECTION). NO ONE returned my emails, helped me to reschedule, etc after MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS and after they took my payment. My hospital required the certificate by a certain date, which caused me to be late in my application :(. I had to enroll in another course. I attempted to contact them AGAIN for a refund. I finally got a phone call back in which they said "NO REFUNDS". I unfortunately, had to call my credit card company. This had VERY POOR customer service and seems like a fraudulent business. I've been to dr rendon now twice for nrp. I work at a small hospital that doesn't offer it but twice a year. It's nice having a location to go to when those 2 years are up. The class is straight forward and taught well. There is time for questions and he answers well and nicely. The cost os 120 which is alright. Awesome!!! This was my first time and I received a great price on a package deal from Dr. Rendon at Revive Education. I also needed to reschedule my classes for a later date so "I picked up the phone and called"...no problem!! I was able to complete my BLS renewal, ACLS renewal and initial PALS all in one weekend. Nice!! The facility in Rancho Mirage was more than adequate and the instructors were very nice and knowledgeable about the subjects (Vince who is a paramedic captain was awesome!!) I also needed to buy a ACLS book the day of the class and Dr. Rendon gave me a great deal on that as well. Thank you!! The AHA (not Dr. Rendon) has now mandated that there will be "no more paper certification cards" and that all certs will be electronic in the form of an email that can be printed out for your employer or just take a photo of it or use the included QR code on the cert. Easy!! Again, that is the AHA's doing, not Dr. Rendon as one reviewer states so that reviewer is wrong to blame Dr. Rendon for that!! There was only one small hiccup and that was my BLS card got lost in cyberspace when it was originally sent, but Dr. Rendon's office staff (thanks Lidia) was fantastic and they got me a new BLS cert sent out without delay. All in all I am a very happy customer!! P.S. One reviewer here (Lisa L) seems to be totally clueless as she gives a link to another place where you can get your certifications all online, however, that place is NOT AHA certified so goooooood luck trying to get any hospital to accept that useless certification (and yet she states that Dr. Rendon who is AHA certified "seems like a fraudulent business." Get a clue Lisa L!!!) She also states (all in caps like she is yelling) that she did the online course in which she had to go in for 2 hours for the skills portion... That is correct Lisa L and that is also because the AHA mandates that as well "if you need to be AHA certified" so why are you blaming Dr. Rendon??? Call the AHA and cry to them why don't you!?! Another reviewer (Elena C) also states that she did not get her card right after class... Right, that is explained above (AHA mandated) and she is also correct in that...she should not wait until the last minute to renew, but then proceeds to state that it's ("their lack of responsability" sic) WHAT??? and then she chooses instead to bash a good business because of her own poor planning!! Also, the AHA mandates that you have to have an AHA manual before, during and after class, so again why are you blaming Dr. Rendon for having to buy a book??? Sounds like you got a fair price if it was just the BLS manual and as far as the CPR masks we were all given free disposable masks to use for class. Yet another reviewer (Denise C) states "Its expansive" sic. I think you meant to write "expensive" but fail to proofread your own comments (see what I mean here folks???) You also don't say how much you paid so there is nothing to compare with. You go out of your way to say the facility is run down, but the (Rancho Mirage location) is the same place I just took my classes and while the chairs and tables were not brand new, they certainly were not as you describe "V shape tables" "lopsided TV" all WRONG!! Oh and you had to watch your PALS video in a small room... you poor thing!!! Also, the instructors are required to keep you there for the allotted class time (AHA mandated with some discrepancy allowed) so being there for 3 hours and then having to return to finish sounds like was all in the allotted class time anyways! Oh, and you were "forced to use this place to get PALS due to no other facility having a class that worked with my schedule." All I can say to you is please do make it your goal to forever use another place for your certifications because good businesses can do without bad customers!! (yet no other facility can accommodate your schedule?!?). I will just finish this by saying that I truly feel sorry for "any business" (not just Dr. Rendon) that has to deal with the type of "clueless" people who want to blame everyone else for their own mistakes and misguided thought processes... Quick and painless! The instructor is great and assures students with his level of thoroughness and clarity

Its expansive, the facility (rancho mirage location) is dirty and everything is falling apart. The chairs are super old and very uncomfortable, the tables were dipping in the middle making it more into a V shape. the tvs are lopsided and I was put in what seems like a tiny closet to watch my PALS videos. the facility ran out of ink, so they made us take a "lunch" before taking our test in order to have time to get ink and print out our cards. this was after being there for 3 hours, in which they had plenty of time to go get ink. I was forced to use this place to get PALS due to no other facility having a class that worked with my schedule. It will forever be my goal to use another place for any further certifications that my employment doesn't offer. one more thing, no one every picks up the phone and or responded to any emails sent. read more
