I would like to provide an update to my initial post on 12/4/24, titled "Renegade Hoof Boots - Cable Snapped After 3 Months..." re: Renegade Hoof Boots. Karen, a customer service representative at Renegade Hoof Boots, reached out to me last week. Karen has really gone above and beyond to rectify the situation. Here is how Renegade went to great lengths to resolve the issue and restore my confidence in their product-- 1) Renegade replaced the broken cable on my boot and mailed the repaired boot back to me. They covered the shipping costs and turned the repair around very quickly, within days. 2) Karen helped me determine the correct boot sizing by providing instructions on how to measure my mare's hooves. I sent Karen pictures of all the measurements, and she was able to recommend a couple of options for appropriate size boots. 3) Renegade then shipped two Viper model boot "shells" (in different sizes) for me to fit on my horse to determine the most accurate size. Karen suggested the Vipers because she felt the Viper model was better suited to my horse's hoof configuration. 4) Renegade then replaced the original damage boot with a new pair, at Renegade's expense. Karen at Renegade Hoof Boots (an experienced horsewoman and Tevis rider herself), really went above and beyond to restore my faith in Renegade. She was thorough in her assessment and guidance, and she provided excellent customer service as we worked to resolve this issue. I look forward to continuing working with Renegade in the future! I have used these boots for about 8-9 years, 4 different horses. The boot is the best I have ever tried, and with the replacement parts thats a plus. They always made recommendations based off the photos, I did have to send back and exchange a size once. They explained the difference with viper vs classic. Riding in heavy brush and grass, I love the colors. Nothing worse that looking at black boots on a black horse, trying to see that he hadnt lost one of the previous boots tried, so the colors are awesome. Their price is competitive with other boots but last much longer. Over the years, it is harder to get hold of live person, but they have returned my calls the next day. read more

a couple months ago I'd given up on getting help to work out several problems I was having with a new pair of renegades. I couldn't get anyone to respond to my emails or phone messages with questions and concerns. I left a review here that described my frustration. Then I gave it one last "go" and Gina responded with apologies and excellent help. She stuck with me till we got the right boots. The issues are resolved and I can say "This is an excellent product!" thank you Gina. I hope the communication problems also got resolved. read more
