My wife and I flew from the US to Munich…read moreand upon arrival we discovered that the airline decided to rip the zippers off my luggage so that I would not be able to close it once I unzipped it at the hotel. The next day we took the damaged lugagge to Maria Büscher to see if they could repair it as we were going to be in Munich for a week. Peter explained that it would take around 2 weeks to get it repaired since he had to mail it to another location to get fixed and then have it mailed back to his shop. He then gave us the most economical options for luggage to replace my damaged one. We settled on one and it is great - standard overhead carry-on size and it is durable (my wife and I's travels continued for another 4 weeks and we had no issues or any damage on the new luggage). I also ended up buying a beautiful leather belt as I accidentally left home without one. There is a great selection of products here, leather and otherwise - wallets, belts, hand bags, overhead carry-on and checked baggage sized luggage. My wife and I ended up hitching a ride to the Bayern match that evening with Peter and Manuel too. While we were at the store, I asked the best way to get to the stadium and they simply said you can come with us. I thought they were kidding at first, but no, they were serious. And my wife and I were very thankful. What started out as a need for a luggage repair or replacement, ended up with a friendship. Peter and Manuel are wonderful people, very nice and very accommodating. Oh also, their english is much better than my german, so there was no language barrier between us. If you are local to Munich, I'm sure you are already know about Maria Büscher. If you're a traveler and need any luggage, belt, wallet, etc. assistance while in Munich, don't worry about trying to find any other place other than Maria Büscher.

I found what I thought was a nice small sports shop & they looked well equipped & stocked to sell cross country skis. One positive was that the gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable & understood that I was new to x-country skiing, that was great, that's about it for positives. Little did I know how rude & un-accommodating management is at Kraler Sport. I purchased skis, poles & shoes that came to 761, euros, 137,23 euros of that purchase was tax. I did not realize at the time of the purchase that I could get the tax back. I had not used any of the equipment, all the tags & so on were still on all the gear. I went back to Kraler to see if they could assist me somehow with getting the tax credit, wow oh wow were they super rude, without so much as a moment of consideration I was rudely told it was impossible to help me, that I should have thought of that before I made the purchase. I simply wanted to return the items, then immediately re-purchase the very same items & do what was needed to get the 22% tax back, it was 137,23 euros = over $168.00, I wasn't expecting Kraler to refund me the tax themselves in any way. They were so rude that I then requested just a refund, just take everything back, they again, said that was impossible. So, according to Kraler, if You buy something in Italy, You are stuck with it, ie: if You buy a gift for someone & it doesn't fit or they want another color or something along those lines, too bad, it is "impossible" to return things to Kraler Sport or in all of Italy, according to Kraler Sport, then the Kraler staff will ask You to leave when you want answers. Buyer be warned, DO KOT BUY FROM KRALER SPORT,STAY AWAY, unless you are 100% sure that Yoh really want whatever it is You are buying & there is absolutely no place else to buy whatever it is you are out to purchase, Kraler Sport does not believe in customer service. I have filed a dispute with the credit card company at this point, hopefully they can help me out. I was really happy with my purchase until I learned how rude & not helpful Kraler Sport staff are.

Leaving Tuscany behind, we took a beautiful ride, destination Dolomites!…read more We arrived in the Dolomites in the early evening. Checked into our Hotel and went to a close by spot for dinner. We had plans for outdoor dinner at a typical Alpine Festival the Dolomites the next evening. This first evening is when I figured out that I had not packed an adequate jacket for the climate. Resourceful me decided it was an opportunity to find something local, and unique. Hubby and I spent some time promenading Dobbiaco's main drag. I was so pleased when I spotted this shop...and I found my new best friend! ALP Country Wear , Dolomites Handmade.... local wool and cotton jacket. Price was reasonable... cozy evenings ahead!
