A mate of mine was moving house, and as we're good mates, and as we've needed similar help in the past (and I'm sure will in the future), I offered a hand to get him and his missus out of their old house and into a new one. Now, I don't have a ute. And my car's really not the sort you'd tow anything with. Not much of a dilemma, we'd do what we'd both done before. We'd rent a van. Now, I'm not going to give these guys any points for an imaginative post-modern ironic name. You need to rent a van, you call Rent A Van. For not a hell of a lot of money, we rented a van for a couple of days over a weekend. It wasn't pretty. It was a pretty nondescript white van, and it fit everything in quite well. The service was decent, and if I was moving in the area again, I'd call them without any hesitation. read more

WOW! cheap too! I was moving houses with a friend who did not have a ute so we rented a van. I wanted something cheap and convenient. RentaVan was great. I saw the van i rented before renting it as they are all on display. I knew i was not getting a ferrari but you get what you pay for. this suited us just fine. When i receive decent customer service i get really annoyed seeing comments like TK added. May i suggest TK some education perhaps? pick up a dictionary and look up the word MISTAKE. I have women working for me in accounts who make mistakes on a daily basis and i do NOT have any customers go trashing our business. Walking into the office at rentavan there are notices on the wall saying something like "fees will be charged if you go on tolls." Its clear black and white! If it were my business and a customer drove on a toll and i received a fine TOTALLING MORE THAN THE ENTIRE COST OF VAN RENTAL i would be charging more than a $35 admin fee. As for your legal advise comment over a $35 deduction? Really? Oh my! If your renting a van on the cheap then suffice to say you are not in a position to pay for good legal advise and this is expected form an individual who requires legal advise over a $35 buck deduction! Comical really! Yes if the business did not refund your money then make a complaint. I agree. BUT....YOU WERE REFUNDED!!!!! Mistakes happen. Geez. I would and have recommended this van rental to family and friends and they have thanked me greatly. read more

I needed a van with unlimited kms to go interstate. Rentavan do not cater for this however Lloyd was actually the most helpful person I spoke to out of all the other companies I called. I had contacted Avis, budget and a few others who when I asked for unlimited kms they said no we can't help you and that was it. Lloyd took the time to help me by suggesting other options even though he knew I was not renting one of their vans. I don't usually write reviews but the fact he spent the time to help me was really nice. Great customer service. Thank you. I highly recommend this business. read more

I certainly will not be recommending this firm to anyone. I payed using my Visa card on the day of renting, and two months later i noticed that they had taken out $35 dollars from my bank account. When phoning to ask about the money being taken out from my account without my permission or knowledge, i was told that i had gone through a toll, RUBBISH!! i never went near a toll and this had happened to me by rent a van three years ago when borrowing their van, but let it go as i was told it was a mistake from the lady who deals with speeding fines and toll fines in the office..same story this time, it was the lady in the office that has made a mistake and they would put the money back into my account. without so much as an apology. Well all i say is keep an eye on your bank account as this firm has helped themselves to my money TWICE!! I will be seeking legal advice on this matter, it's disgusting how people can just help themselves to your money without your knowledge. read more
