Late delivery + communication issues, but the delivery crew was great I used Rental Avenue for furniture rentals for an event and spent around $7,000. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly stressful due to logistics and communication. The delivery showed up about 6 hours late, which completely threw off our setup timeline. Because they were so behind, I ended up having to stay at the property until 10:00 PM just to get everything placed and ready. To make matters worse, communication with the office was really difficult -- at one point, we had to have the delivery guys call the office repeatedly just to get someone on the phone and get direction/answers. That should never be on the customer (or the crew) to chase down. I'll say this: the delivery guys were honestly great. They were professional, kind, and clearly doing their best under the circumstances. We also ran into an issue with the table/chair heights. I ordered tall chairs, but I had selected shorter cocktail tables. They did help fix the issue, which I appreciate -- but the way it was handled made me feel like I was being scolded for it. When you're spending thousands and already dealing with a massively late delivery, the last thing you need is attitude. A simple "no worries, we'll get it sorted" would have gone a long way. Overall: great delivery crew, but the late delivery, hard-to-reach office, and the tone when resolving the setup issue made this a frustrating experience. We used the Rental Avenue for an event and everything went smoothly. The delivery people were amazing and efficient and so very nice. The drop-off guys did the set up on a hot day, the pick up was easy and fast, and the materials were all great. The dishes and everything were in pretty good condition (though we ordered some extra of everything to have the option to not use a chipped one), and the white chairs had scuffs, but when laid out no one could see them. The team responds extremely quickly with requests to update the quote and they're very flexible. Cant find enough words to describe my horrible experience with Rental ave. Trusting their IG profile, I decided to hire the company to make my wedding day special. First I want to start off how disorganized this company is. I have called and asked them to do the delivery on Thursday since their residential deliveries are Wednesdays & Thursdays and instead of that they call me same week of my wedding, on Tuesday, telling me the delivery is on Wednesday between 11-4pm. I got everything in order and my expectation was them delivering the product on Thursday since I requested off from work. Anything I tried to do to make things right the team was not so helpful. They kept telling me that the delivery is going to be only on Wednesday and if im not happy with it they can cancel the order but keeping the deposit. I was stuck with the situation and asked Mariam to do the delivery at least between 5-6pm and put my order as of last delivery. Sure ensure it will happen but yet it didn't. Next day delivery guy calls at 3:30pm and tells me he will be at my place at 4pm. I started stressing out because there was no one at home. I asked my family to go home and welcome them since I was at work. My dad got home and went outside to show them the entrance and instead saw them leaving the property. I called them back and found out that they went for another delivery since my dad was late for 5 mins. Such a big deal. Everyone left their work to be home so we can make things right instead we had to work with delivery team schedule even tho there was a request to do my delivery last. No one cared. They ended up coming back at 5pm and did horrible job. Please check the pictures of expectation vs reality. I called the office and complained about the way the set up everything. The guys were like " sorry we had to leave" and they left. I asked the office to send them back on Thursday. Mariam again said she will send them between 1-5pm on Thursday. My wedding is on Saturday and I had so many things to be taken care of instead I was home and waiting for them. Guess what. Its was 5:30pm and there was no calls no show situation. I called the office no one picked up. I called the girl on her cell and she didnt pick up either. Instead she texted me" hun you are calling me on my cell". Really you think i didnt know that. I told her that if someone from office would pick up the phone I would not text her. Instead she said the office was closed. To say I was disappointed its understatement. She said she will check up with the driver and get back to me. Instead the driver called and said they will be back on Friday at 8am. I said fine. It's Friday my friends and there is no one at that time. I called them at 8:30am and the driver was like "on my way". He arrived all alone at 8:55pm. Im like why are you alone cuz you need to make changes by moving things around instead he told me that his boss asked him to cover only the holes and scratches on the flower wall and thats it. Im like get your manager on the line. He got some dude and i started asking him why he sent only one person. He goes like cuz he is the only person i have either you work with him or figure it out yourself. Omggggg I lost myself and started arguing with him and instead of calming me down he asked the guy to leave my house. I had to call Mariam again and tell her the situation. I asked to speak to owner or manager but got no one to speak to. So unprofessional. After a while she sent me another guy and they started asking me how I want things to be. I was so heart broken with the situation. My dad started helping them out so they can make things nice. Yet they didnt please check the pics. Also, they scratched my floor and made a hole on my wall. I told about this to office again no reaction. When they left unfinished the office didnt even bother to call me to ask me how I feel and whether or not the set up is the way I wanted. My family ended up coming out of their skins to fix everything so it will be ready for next day. Can you imagine what I went through because of them. Its not like they are cheap company and nothing was done for free. Everything was paid on time. I was really excited to hire them instead I was really disappointed, and sad about the outcome. I hope my experience is worth to believe and second guess the company before hiring them. read more

We contracted with the Rental Avenue to supply tables/chairs/dance floor/etc for our 2020 wedding. Covid-19 impacted our plans greatly, but the Rental Avenue was extremely easy to work with, prior to Covid-19 and after. They accommodated all of my requests (multiple changes to my order) and were extremely easy-going and helpful. I was scouring Yelp for a party rental place to rent equipment for our son's first birthday party and was very excited because of all the 5-star reviews for this place. Today afternoon, my husband and I got to the office and saw that the women working here were busy with their other clients. We waited for 15 minutes before we left - No one greeted us, no one took a few seconds to tell us that they will be with us soon, no acknowledgement of any sort, just ignored by the people who work here. Yes, you have a busy day in the office but you just don't ignore someone who comes to your office and is interested in hiring your business. A little customer courtesy goes a long way. I live in Northern California, but was in SoCal to host a small, but very special 30th birthday dinner for one of my children, I sourced-out party rental companies on Yelp and found my way to Rental Avenue. Matt handled my order in the most engaging manner I have ever experienced. I described the aesthetic we wanted for the event and he offered to have a special table cloth and napkins made to match our desired design theme. Everything I ordered was delivered ahead of schedule and they included one extra item in every category just to make sure there were no problems. My only regret is that I live in Northern California , and I cannot use them for parties there. This is probably the MOST unorganized rental company I've ever come across. Absolutely nothing was clearly communicated. I had to call them multiple times to ask when rentals would be delivered and picked up. My baby shower was on Saturday and I got no phone call or any form of communication days before my event on when rentals would be delivered. Pick up was no better...I didn't hear from them so I called them on Monday to ask when they'd be picking up their stuff and was told FOR SURE "today" within the next 1.5 hrs since they were in the area. No one showed up and it was already 6pm. I called them multiple times and no one picked up so I couldn't get a hold of anyone. Next day I had a doctors appointment at 2:15pm they showed up to my house around 2:10. Just BEYONDDDDD ridiculous. I'm so disappointed in their service. I will NOT be giving them business. Ever. Communication was fast, easy, and very clear. Their website has all their inventory and price list. Rental Avenue went WAY BEYOND any other business I've experienced with customer service. When I had to plan for my Mom's memorial service, I ordered her favorite shade of pink for table cloths. I went to pick them up but they were the wrong color. The shade I ordered had not come back into stock. These Ladies jumped through hoops to make amends. They asked me to come back the next morning (the day of the service). I was completely surprised as I learned they actually bought a roll of fabric and completed sewing all new pink table cloths that same day. Amazing, caring, company! read more
