The worst company you could possibly deal with. They are unfriendly, cheat people out of money and try bully you into thinking you have to pay what ever they feel like charging you. I had several things in my apartment that needed fixed because they were an actual hazard to me and my family and nothing was done. I started to ask for work orders so that I had them for my records and they were reluctant to give me the copies until I showed them the Idaho renters rights book. If I could give negative stars I would. This company has screwed me over as well as many others. There failure to maintain the property and keep tenants safe is beyond a joke. I rented from 2 different property managers until Neighborhood rentals took over. There Maintence staff is beyond a joke. It takes them 6 months to come and fix anything. Over the 4.5 years of renting from them my ceiling in the master bathroom leaked multiple times. Causing massive mold damage. My family had constant migraines and breathing issues. I told them multiple times there was mold issues and not once did they seem to care. It took me getting gruff and threatening a law suit to get my bathroom ceiling fixed. They claimed I called them multiple times to cancel there worker. I only cancelled twice due to having pneumonia. They claimed they couldn't get a contractor or electrician in because of the ceiling cable heat. They came in and clipped wires and left it exposed. It took them another 2 months to fix my dishwasher. When they finally did show up. There Maintence guy didn't have the proper parts and said it would take another 2 weeks to fix it. I have had nothing but massive issue when it came to any sort of issues being handled with the office staff. I even was almost evicted because I posted a negative review on there website on how I had been poorly treated. After speaking to the main owner Jeremy he later stated I was allowed to remain living in the building as long as I wanted. And made the office staff apologize in how poorly I had been treated. The summer of 2019 they began to add hidden fees and tried to do a rent increase on me of over a 100 bucks on a ran down rental that they never updated or maintained. I gave my 30 days notice in July after they moved in a meth addict and alcoholic into the building. While working in my garage on my harley the tenant was seen in her car doing meth and other various drugs. I notified the office staff and police and nothing was ever done. A few days later the tenant begins causing altercations with my wife and I making it a unsafe place to live. We came home several times to our apartment smelling like drugs. Not once did the office staff care to handle any issues concerning our safety. Thank god I was able to purchase a home and finally move out. Upon moving out has been a massive joke. I had the place professionally cleaned I have invoices on it as well and they tried to charge me for there cleaners. Amongst other things that had been broken since I have lived there. Also claiming it costed them over 860 To clean carpets. I posted another negative review and once again be again to get harrassing phone calls and threats from Sandy the office manager claiming I was slandering and taking away her livelihood. My strongest suggestion would be for any future clients or tenants to avoid them as a property management company. They will run your property into the ground and chase away your tenants. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My apartment complex was recently bought by Rentmaster. We had no problems with our previous landlords and all the managers had treated us fairly and responded politely and promptly to questions or concerns. We are good tenants. We don't complain. We are on automatic payments the 1st of every month. Let me tell you the difference of what I experienced with Rentmaster. I received a new job and in consequence we are moving out of state. I called the Idaho Falls Office on Friday, November 28th and spoke with Sandy. I proceeded to give my notice and to explain that our complex had been bought by Rentmaster. She informed me that I needed was a 30 day notice and to send her an email. I had a few more questions letting her know I wanted everything sorted out. I asked about the utilities and whether all I needed to do was give notice. She informed me that was so and she would call me back about my question. I never received a phone call. I called back Monday, December 1st and once again talked to Sandy. I informed her that she never called me back and she told me that she had written down that all I had was a utilities question and she didn't think I was important. This is my first impression of dealing with Rentmaster and they don't think that I am important. I continued to follow-up regarding the lease, which she finally looked up, no fault of mine and proceeded to threaten to take me to small claims court for backing out on a lease. I never once said that we wouldn't pay, I was only trying to figure out what we could do since she had so clearly lied to me the first phone conversation telling me all I needed was a 30 day notice. This was the rudest, most offensive phone call I have ever been on. I will never rent from Rentmaster again. read more

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Home infested with black mold. Half the electrical wouldn't work in apartment. Sent letters, called, never responded to come fix. Upon moving out they stole property left that was being picked up. There are laws in Idaho they need to store property for up to 30 days. 2 days after moving out my stuff was gone out of garage. If you own a rental property, be advised that something has changed with Rentmaster. While never particularly good about communicating up-front with owners, the past six months has seen a marked drop in communication--to the point where things are being hidden, lies are being told, and contractual agreements have been repeatedly violated. Calls are not returned, emails go unanswered, charges appear with no paperwork; if you do reach someone, excuses abound and it s always someone else s fault. Even though they violated the terms of the property-management agreement, they will not refund charges that were not approved. I have had to terminate my contract with Rentmaster and cannot in good conscience, recommend their services. There are better agencies out there. I am currently with Jacob Grant, and though it s too soon to really tell how this business relationship will fare, anything is better than what I had with Rentmaster. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB and will likely end up in small claims. I have to do this because I chose the wrong agency; you do not need to make the same mistake. read more
