What a great way to get new glasses! I sent in my frames and Replace A Lens put new lenses in them. In the past I've gone through my optometrist and with insurance spent well over $400. This time I have no insurance. I spent a little over $300 for my new glasses. I have progressive lenses. I chose the Varillux lens because they are the Cadillacs of lenses. Just had two pairs of glasses re-lensed by ReplaceALens. Couldn't be happier with the results and value. For the last new glasses I sourced locally I wasn't give the choices offered by ReplaceALens, and ended up with polycarbonate lenses. I selected Trivex from ReplaceALens and they are superior to polycarbonate as promised. This Optical shop is A GEM! I was referred by a student when lamenting it was going to cost $800 at a chain store for 1 pair glasses. At Replace a lens I got 2 different glasses frames w lenses for $300. 1 frame even is no line bifocals w transitions. The put new lenses in an old frame I had for $20. I still loved my special edition RayBan sunglasses, but needed a new prescription. RayBan quoted a price for lens replacement that was higher than I paid originally for the whole order. Most online lens replacement outlets only offer gray or brown sunglass tinting, but I went with ReplaceALens because they said they could match the proprietary RayBan green. Not only was the price really affordable, but their service was fast and professional. Plus, my new ReplaceALens are of a higher overall quality than the RayBan original lenses! Great prices, great quality and great staff! The optician attached to my optometrist wanted $150 for single-vision plastic lenses (dafuq?). I called around and got some more prices in the $100 range. Then I found Replace-a-Lens. $30. Seriously. Same material, same quality work, way less price. I don't even live in Denver; I was just visiting. I dropped off my frames with a copy of my prescription and in less than a week, they were in the mail back to me. The new lenses are great, they're installed in my frames correctly, and they even returned my old lenses. I got new lenses in my regular glasses and my sunglasses for less than one pair of clear lenses would cost elsewhere. What more could I want? And, if you're local, for $25 extra they'll do them same-day. Great if you don't have a spare set. These guys have my business from here on out. Costco might be slightly cheaper if you want anti-glare and all that stuff, but for basic plastic lenses, Replace-a-Lens is the cheapest place I've found in the US. (it's cheaper to order glasses from Hong Kong, but that's not a fair comparison) read more

I used their mail order service to order three pairs of prescription glasses. They did fine work and with the cheap frames I got online my costs were slashed. It was amazing. I am so ecstatic with the craftmanship and customer service of ReplaceALens. They are absolutely fantastic. Never again will I go through over priced Luxotica subsidiaries to get my high index lenses. Glad they use name brand lenses too. My 1.74 lenses cost just a little over half of what Lens Crafters wanted to charge on one of their better sales and lower than what even Walmart and Target wanted to charge for a Nikon 1.67 and an Essilor 1.67 lens (slightly thicker than 1.74), respectively. I honestly cannot praise these guys enough. I wish them much, much more business and success. They deserve it. read more

Beyond satisfied. I sent in frames to get my lenses put it. It took them 1 week from the day they received my frames to put new lenses in them and sent them back to me. I tried other companies like Lensabl which that company was a total nightmare. I will definitely use ReplaceALens again and recommend others to do so too. What a gem!! This is the greatest deal on prescription lens! You pay to ship it to their store in Denver, and they will ship it back for free. I had 3 designer frames filled with prescription lens, which ended up costing me a whopping (not really) $102. If you order 2 or more, they take off $5 from each pair of lens. What a steal! Other places like lens crafters were quoting me $100+ for just ONE set of lens. But I got THREE. Everyone should be using this service. I love love love these people. They are SO helpful, totally knowledgeable, completely fair, and sell a high quality product almost as cheap as dirt. I like expensive designer frames, and I don't like overpaying retail for them. So I buy them from different sources for a great price, then mail them off to ReplaceALens to have my prescription lenses filled. I just bought authentic new Prada frames for $160 and shipped them to ReplaceALens for single vision, polarized G-15 (gray/green) polycarbonate lenses. These are upgraded sunglass lenses for which you would pay a fortune at most optical shops. With the current promotion on polarized prescription sunglasses lenses, the total was $119. So total price for new Prada Rx polarized sunglasses was $280 total. Wanna price this at Lenscrafters? You'd be at $500 minimum for the finished pair. Another recent order...bought a $500 pair of Morgenthal Frederics Rx frame at a Optica store at 50% off for $250. Sent them off for trivex Varilux Physio digital progressive lenses with transitions. $376 may sound expensive, but honestly these lenses alone would run close to $1000 at most optical shops for the trivex, Physio, and transitions upgrades. So out the door for $626. Yes, that's a chunk of change for eyeglasses, but note that this is for a highly upgraded set up. I got the glasses and the reading "channel" was too narrow. No problem. I sent them back and they remade them from the lenses I had marked up by my doc's office to indicate my pupil placement. No charge for the redo. If you want simple quality lenses without upgrades, they have you covered. Have your doc take your PD (pupilary distance) or have the optician at your doc's shop do it. (They are typically nice and will do it even if you aren't buying their products.) If you are getting progressives, be sure to try on the frame for your doc or local optician and have them mark the lenses with your segment height for the best outcome. Mail it off to ReplaceALens, then either place your order online or call them to speak with someone smart who can help you shop based on your priorities. No pressure. This is not 24 hour glasses, so get past that. From the time they get your frames, it will be about a week before they ship them out, plus add a few days for them to get to you. I pay the extra $10 shipping in order to get 2-day insured delivery. I also recommend that you mail the frames out from the post office and add on insurance for the cost of your frames, just to be sure. read more
