Even an anti-depressant drops. Ricky won't leave her cage even with the door open. The bird was abused before she came to Hornsey. I wish I could help Ricky. In terms of the store, they sell all types of animal food including bird feed (which is what My Boots is interested in and therefore what I am interested in). The bird food was really cheap (1.25 per bag) and even less for the crap sunflower seed ones. Boots needs his food fruity. He's a premium mix little Grey man. I don't really get the Garden Shop part of the name. I believe I saw some flowers out front but nothing else really. This is pet food store. No Bird toys but some cat and dog accessories. I wish I could try to get Ricky out of her cage. I think she liked me. The staff has tried, maybe Ricky will come around.

She's now 8 months old and we thought it was time to see how clever she actually was. Booked a course of puppy training classes with Lydia (http://www.dogsandstuff.co.uk ) and had 6 of the nicest Sunday mornings learning how to handle her properly. Lydia attends with one of her own dogs who sort of shows you how it's done and there were 5 other people with their dogs. One of the reasons I chose Dogsandstuff was because almost all the other puppy classes out there have between 15 and 20 dogs and it all gets a bit out of control (I attended one in Enfield before this one, but didn't bother going back). Being one of only 6, you get plenty of one to one attention at this one. I couldn't say that she was now fully trained, but she's well on the way.

They are always pretty busy, so I thought that must be a good sign, so decided to make an appointment. They have a few people working there and charge £35 a go. The first time I took him there, I loved it!! Gizmo was clean and felt really soft. The second time I took him there, I noticed that he was scooting on his back legs quite a bit, a day later he started to feel ill. I took him to the vet and he had to have an injection and had to have his anal glands cleaned (Posh Pets had not done this properly and that was the problem). I called Posh Pets and they weren't too helpful. I do not like the fact that all dogs are caged, so I will be using dialadogwash.com instead. They come to your house and you can be with your dog. No more cages :)

Before I discovered this pet supplies store, I was buying from Amazon, which was often sold out of the only type of litter I liked. When I found this store, I saw they had a huge selection of everything, from dry and wet cat food, to raw treats to litter, toys...you name it. Prices are really competitive - beats or matches what I have found on Amazon but without having to wait for shipping. Their membership card is free and a portion of the store's proceeds go to charity of your choice. You can also find small pets here: small birds and parrots, gerbils, rabbits and chinchillas. They also have dog grooming. Those who say you can get a better deal at Tesco obviously aren't picky about the quality of products they are getting for their pets. I don't buy my cat any processed junky crap you find at Tesco and Sainsburys - I once had a cat develop IBS as a result of that sh*tty food. I only buy grain free organic now with as few ingredients as possible. I want my cat to live a long healthy life and stores like this make it possible. Keep your Tesco crap, I care too much about my kitty baby to feed him just anything. Well done, Pets at Home.
