She analysed my skin and gave me very useful advice. I visited another two times and was very happy with the service. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the last time I visited I received terrible service. The beautician ,whose name I didn't find out because she barely spoke to me throughout the whole 40 minutes, was quite rude. The only time she spoke to me was to guide me to the room, ask me to lie down and to take my payment. She asked no questions about my skin and made no attempts to me feel relaxed. As I said I do not know her name but she is an older, eastern european woman. I will go back to the salon but will just make sure I do not get treated by her. Take my advice go to the salon but avoid this terrible beautician.

I was quite disappointed by my experience at Earth-Spa. I went there for a much-overdue Hollywood wax, having chosen the salon for its luxury-feel and kind-to-skin waxing method. On the plus side, the waxing method was one of the less painful that I have tried. However, the wax took about 50 minutes (!!! -- the last place I went to, the same wax took 5-10 minutes), and after all that, I got home to find patches of hair still there. Worse still, while the website listed the price of the wax as ~£40, at the salon I was charged ~£50 since apparently prices had just gone up and the website had not yet been updated. I called to offer feedback to the salon, and the manager offered to have another therapist clean up the last wax properly. The next girl I got was lovely, however even this clean-up wax took a long time (about 30 minutes) and I again left with patches of hair that should have been removed.

The facilities are really nice--very new and clean. The facial I got was excellent, Lauren used dermatologica products and gave me some to take home and try. She also did a little face-mapping and told me what to use where. Waxing was also perfect, 5 stars. The manicure/pedicures are the one weak point for Earthspa. They just don't seem to have the facilities for it. They had me on the massage table and although it was very nice and comfy it didn't allow for any sort of soaking, etc. They really need a pedicure chair in my oh-so-humble opinion. For the prices they are charging (pretty spendy) I want a few more layers of skin off my feet removed than is possible without a soak. Overall though, I thought the place was great. If you are going to book, I'd suggest making an appointment with Lauren, she's excellent.

Tracey put me right at ease straight away, and made the full body massage and age smart facial treatment feel like it lasted a lot longer than 1hour 45 minutes!. As part of the massage, a hot stone was put on my back, while I had a foot and leg massage. Tracey then moved to my upper back, which I totally needed (with my stress levels!). Tracey really got to the stress knots in my muscles and this was my favourite part of the session. The Age Smart facial was also fab. I had a good consultation before and afterwards, where the therapist talked through my cleansing routine, noted concerns (I got to take home a copy of this) and also gave me advice and Dermalogica product samples to take home. I had my face steamed, cleaned, exfoliated, toned and moisturised, and afterwards my complexion genuinely looked miles better than it has in ages. I really was de-stressed when I left and went home considering when I book in again! Would highly recommend, especially if you are feeling stressed!

At this beauty salon, tucked away on a quiet side street, you will be guaranteed a warm welcome and treatments so good I have found have no equal in East London. I suffer from terrible upper back and neck tension, and I discovered alternating the Virginia Williams 1/2 hour massage with the deep tissue massage on a monthly basis reduced pain, helped me relax and gave me instant results. In addition, she was full of excellent tips for helping to reduce general stress and promote well being. I have also had the mini-facial, which was also incredible: Refreshing, cleansing and relaxing. Virginia Williams did a skin analysis of my face before recommending a course of Dermalogica treatments. I have become a devotee of this regime, and my skin has come on leaps and bounds!
