"We Trim The Trees Not The Customers." LOL. I like this guy. I asked him to trim the trees in front of my house like he was the homeowner (because he knows what it's like to be concerned for the welfare of his own house, right?) & I didn't care about the cost. I know not everyone can give carte blanche like this, but I also know if you give an artisan/craftsman room to do what they do best, you should get a good result. Well boy howdy, he outdid himself on this one. (I'll get the before/after pics up in a bit.) My small front yard has/had 5 huge trees that I'm pretty sure haven't been trimmed in decades (if ever) & completely blocked the sun from reaching the house. One tree had such long lower branches that they reached all the way over the roof to the other side of the house! In my life, I've been in 2 different buildings when a branch fell on the roof - fortunately they didn't break through, but that is a sound you won't soon forget. Like a sonic BOOM. So even though the trees were very picturesque, I was afraid of what might happen during a storm, plus with no sun ever reaching the roof, it will ruin the shingles really fast with moss & rot. Mr. Respress & his sons trimmed the trees into nice, neat, aesthetically pleasing shapes - removing all the dead branches & twigs - & completely removed one tree that was WAY too close to the house. I also asked him to leave me some chips so I could mulch the front yard, which he was happy to do. Mr. Respress only works on one job at a time, so you don't have to worry about him running off in the middle & leaving you hanging. The team is very quick & efficient & I would recommend them to anyone. read more
