The interior was warm and charming, and the menu was extensive. I had the spinach and goat cheese pierogis, with a bowl of borscht and my goodness, was my meal delicious! My husband had the sirloin steak and raved about it. Service was excellent and courteous. Although the prices might seem a little high, with the exchange rate what it was during our visit, we really couldn't complain. Before flying in I researched the place and decided on it. Unfortunately our flight was delay over 4h and I thought we won't make if before they close. But we did! Ladies accommodated us with smiles on their faces and food was simply divine! Maybe for a regular Polish people it is nothing special because they eat it often, but for someone who is coming from US once a year and can appreciate authenticity of Polish kitchen, it was really, really tasty :). Very old-style and homey Polish interior: flower-printed table cloths, candles, wooden chairs, and very majestic, castle-inspired furniture and decor. Our waiter was more than just polite. He never turned his back at us when leaving our table, but instead backed away slowly and out, which made us feel royal. At start, he served us an appetizer on the house: a Polish traditional food called "szmalec." We then ordered a couple traditional Polish foods. They serve most Polish dishes. The food was amazing, and as I usually request, he made sure my dish was gluten free. I had the deer ragout, which was delightful. My friend tried the Polish beet soup and dumplings filled with ground meat. At the end, our waiter served us two glasses each of two different liqueurs commonly drunk in Poland. We had wine to the meals. The check ended in around 180 Polish zlotys, which equals around $57. I highly recommend this secret place. Even though it won't be such a secret for very long then.

The marinated herring was so enjoyable as well. The fish was tender and the citrus profile of the sauce was a fantastic complement to the dish. The Chicken Soup was as good as chicken soup could be. Warm and savory. And finally the dessert. The fluffy meringue pie was very good as well but after a few bites, the sweetness got to me. The name caught my eye as a beer enthusiast and I was happy with the selection once we sat down. Pasta was calling out to me so I ordered the garlic shrimp spaghetti. It hit the spot.
