We had a very nice lunch at Bazar restaurant just after arriving in Poznan. It's just next to the Freedom Square (and the building plays a big part in the story of Freedom Square), in a grand building that is still being restored to its former glory (the restaurant is already renovated and in fantastic shape). The dining room is very elegant without being stuffy.
The menu is fairly traditional; we tried the duck, the chicken liver, and a soup to start. The server spoke English with us (they also have an English menu), and was very welcoming and helpful.
The prices are quite high, but the food and service are truly excellent. It's worth a visit if you have a special occasion to celebrate, or if you're just looking for a nice and relaxing experience in the heart of Poznan. read more
