So lovely to lounge at the bar while the sun goes down! The views were spectacular. I saw Katowice from an entirely new perspective. My Aperol Spritz tasted, as it should. Not watered down! Kudos for that! Everything was immaculately clean. Great quality linen. The staff was courteous and kind. And of course, the location was just perfect. Steps from the heart of the city. It's a real gem in Katowice. Pluses: - Breakfast till 11:00 am - 49-inches tv - Complimentary WIFI 200 Mbps - Air-conditioned rooms - Tea/coffee station with an electric kettle in the room - Efficient blackout - Recently-opened Minuses: - No ice machine on the floor - The AC works rather slow - Not particularly well-soundproofed rooms

Stayed here for one night on May 18, 2016 as we needed a place close to the Theater Slaski and this seemed to be the closest. Had 2 double beds ( actually they ended up being two single beds) because they are really small but comfortable. Size of room is a bit bigger than the average IBIS hotel but not by much. Hotel is so old you still get a real key to your door. All the reservations are still done on paper. It's like they are still in the last century somewhere. Breakfast was a HUGE spread and free. Parking lot seems quite small and runs about $20/ day. We got lucky to find a spot in the lot at about 3 P.M. Any later, who knows. Would stay again if in the area. Total for one weekday including parking and breakfast for 2 came to $65.00. Hard to beat for the price.

The staff are kind and the breakfast, dinner, and service in general were all pleasant and more than adequate. I was not thrilled with the music piped into all of the hallways and staircases and lobby, because I could still hear it even inside my room with the door shut, but when I asked at the reception desk, they turned it down (and later turned it off when I went back to say that I could still hear it inside my room with the door closed.
