Rows upon Rows of proletariat housing were built surrounded by lovely green spaces. What was once a Communist ideal, has become a reasonable housing choice for middle class Krakow. In the middle of this Socialist nirvana sits Bar Mleczny Centralny, an inexpensive cantine serving cheap local food in an unadorned room. Hey, it's a cafeteria, Brezhnev style. The salad was presented on a unique glass platter and we both shared & enjoyed it. I've never had red pepper before, and I thought they were just some weird tiny berries, even though he did mentioned 'red peppers'. I've forgotten, and yes, of course PEPPERS that were RED! LOL The salad was shrimp with avocados, tomatoes, and just enough dressing. Love the bread, too! Waitress was great and super attentive to the large crowd she was already handling outside with us. Almost all patrons were outside watching the game. Wished they had a bigger television for sporting events like this.
