The food is very Bavarian and fresh. I great place to go to enjoy real food. Although I'm not really a meat eater, I suggest choosing meat rather than fish. On the appetizers, the Blutwurst was definitely a big surprise. Try not to get too full, as the cakes they have there are a dream! All in all, be prepared for a good meal. Small tip: They have this aperitif drink with champagne, mango and vanilla. Don't choose it. It's not worth the 15€. Trust me here.

Der Zwiebelrostbraten war leider totgegart, die Spätzle dazu einfach langweilig trotz Cremesauce. Durchschnittliches Alter der Gäste ist so um die 75. Ist ja ganz nett, wenn man nichts dagegen hat - wir kommen aber leider nicht mehr wieder. Da kann auch die Aussicht (inkl. Schnellstraße) leider nichts retten. Sorry - aber nicht zu solchen Preisen. There's tons of seating outside and it's spread out so you're not intruded on by other parties. The menu was in German, but we used a translate app to help. I had the dumpling and mushroom dish. It was tasty but fairly heavy, especially the dumpling. Seemed to be a heavy cream sauce with a large dense potato dumpling. Everyone else was happy with their food as well. Rating 4 stars as it's a solid restaurant, but nothing over the top.

Took me about 2 1/2 hours to hike up but you can take the gondola in 10 minutes and then hike around up top. They get very busy on nice days up top. They have a full menu with great desserts and drinks. The server was friendly and so were the fellow hikers. Met a couple of really nice people up here from Germany. The absolute best view of Lake Tegernsee. I would highly recommend coming up to the restaurant to have a bite to eat and a beer!
