Spontaneously I stopped at this restaurant for lunch. They offered the typical three lunch menus, and I picked option three, which was pork escallops with a pepper sauce, noodles, vegetables, a side salad, and a dessert for 20 francs. What a sad lunch it was.
The salad came first with some buns made of pizza dough. The sauce was most likely from a bottle, the corn from the can, and of course, stupid Rucola because Rucola makes everything better in Italian cuisine. Eatable but boring.
Then came the main course, nicely presented on the plate--two pieces of pork escalopes with some creamy sauce mixed with plain peppercorns. The meat was sort of dry had some cheap, porky taste. Plain vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, carrots), tasting like cooked in water. Noodles tossed in butter and some herbs and ... stupid Rucola just because why not.
Dessert, same disappointment. One ball of vanilla ice with a squirt of ... I don't know what it was, chocolate sauce or something? At least no Rucola here, and I'm sure they make some good Pizza. The service was friendly too, but unfortunately, no reason to go back. read more
