Nice cozy place for Sunday Brunch or late-evening dinner. Sunday brunch is excellent (NOte*make a…read morereservation) -- wide selections of cold-cuts, and hot buffet style food. This place is one of the rare ones that offer a wide selection of teas, coffee, and the oh so delicious dessert (choco-mousse) yummy! There are daily specials also like Home Fries, 2for1 deal or Schnitzel-satt.. which is wonderful but we never made it to one of these deals We just dined normally or the Sunday Brunch. Very affordable. For dinner, I had the chicken pasta with mango sauce or so -- huge portions and I had to take a doggie bag home ;) The menu is great and there are tasty burgers also with a shot of Jack Daniels - My brother was here for a visit and he had the burger and he said it tasted different from regular burgers i had a bite and yes it was quite different! Staff are nice and very friendly. They can also cater to your preference-- I am very picky with the presentation so I just ask for the grated cheese on a side plate and some kresse too so that I could decorate my own platethey were more than happy to attend to that and presented a huge hill of grated cheese and a nice order of kresse Lovely lovely

So, we planned a small little birthday lunch at the Adria restaurant in downtown Schwerin. If you…read moreare looking for parking... good luck!!! Public transportation is your best way into town. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat...this is NOT the place to eat. If you are looking for friendly service... NOT your place either. If you are looking for well seasoned and properly cooked food... also NOT your place either... You might ask, why did you eat there... simple answer: it's where the family reserved a table. To go into detail why this was one of the poorest dining experiences in a while: 1. Table was reserved however not available at requested time because they were busy...we werent the only reserved table that now had to stand outside in the rain and wind. Dont take reservations if you are not going to honor them. 2. Once seated, someone stopped by and literally threw the menus on the table and then disappeared. No check in for beverages... nothing! 3. 20 minutes to finally be asked if we wanted something to drink... so we ordered a couple bottles of water and glasses and some other beverages. The waiter comes back...literally throws the coaster millimeters away from my head on the table..hands me the bottle and rudely demands to put the bottle on the coaster. 4. We order food - grill platters. The meat comes on platters with ok presentation (other than: who puts liver (not something everyone enjoys) right on top of other meats that are now soaked in liver juice.. The plates come with fries and vegetables and rice. Fries are worse than fast food chain. Vegetables are unseasoned and half raw. Rice is mushy and mediocre at best. 5. Meat is overcooked and turns into chewing gum as you try to chew it. 6. We havent seen a waiter in about an hour... he finally stops by to clear the plates... we wait for his return...more time goes by.... he finally comes back...we are (and have been ready to order dessert).. he sais: it's too late..there is noone in the kitchen past 230pm. First of all, it's not 230pm yet.. and explain to me why he is incapable to scoop some ice cream into a bowl. And his whole demeaning attitude was horrifying. This place might be cheap... but poor food and worse service... no thank you... there are much better places downtown Schwerin that deserve our business. Way to ruin our birthday family gettogether. Just plain rude!!!

Every meal for 8.90€ incl. salad bar. We tried the trout with cooked potatoes and spinach, the steak with baked potato, the chicken schnitzel with fries, veggies and hollandaise sauce and the turkey baked with tomato mozzarella cheese with croquettes and veggies with hollandaise sauce. It was tasty and totally worth the price. The salad bar also was very fresh and good. At the end we got a free liqueur shot for free. And it was very yummy!

We arrived there without any reservation. First of all, just by walking in one notices the very nice smell. We felt very welcome, we waited 5 minutes at the bar before being offered a table by the window. The service was impeccable. I ordered the bratherring and my wife had a duo of fish in a divine sauce. Both of them were delicious and very fairly priced. A place to recommend.

The staff there are snobby and they interrupt your conversations -- i swear on purpose just to get on your nerves or what ever it might be. Nicely furnished although one time we had to sit near the front right in the middle -- basically a sore thumb we were -- with the cold wind creeping in each time the door was opened --- odd seating -- perhaps that could change that. But I like the bench seats..nice coffees and teas. Basically I just go here on a regular Friday tea time with a good friend whenever --but it is not the first on my list place to go..
