found out this place thru a friend that works with my wife. the café is located on a corner near a…read moreround a bout, and is marked well and exterior is clean. we went inside and it is a sit where you please type place. they have a childrens area so they can play while you dine or have espresso. really liked how the waitress took her time and explained about different drinks that are local and how they use as much fresh and organic foods as possible. we both ordered a local brew, Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes, Jura or BFM
for short. I had the tartare de boeuf avec crostinis. I had the beef a bit spicy, which is exactly how I wanted it, not overpowered with spice, but just enough heat to feel each bite. both of us were happy with our choices, and hope to come back soon. I will add that the kitchen will not open up until 6:30, as with most cafe's and restaurants here in Lausanne , but you can have a few drinks and talk while you wait.
