I purchased a perfectly sized cookie scoop, and unlike with Amazon shopping, there was a range of sizes to choose from. I also bought a small heavy duty spatula and grabbed a pound of Ethiopian coffee, freshly roasted. Prices are a little higher than Amazon, but shopping local has its own rewards. There is also an interesting section of the store selling Syracuse China items. Apparently, you can sell your Syracuse China sets to Smith's. Had a lovely time perusing the shelves.

If you have any kitchen supply needs, please do go and see for yourself that everyone that works there is perfectly nice & professional. We (The PIggery) buy just about all of our paper goods there, and they have a full range of compostable "plastics" which is nice - instead of throwing eveyone's used cups in to the trash we can toss them right in to our Cayuga Compost bins. We've also made equipment purchses through them, and they are currently being our personal saviors by helping us with a nightmare kitchen hood situation. Prices are right, quality is great, staff are all super helpful - all around they are running a great business.

Yesterday was full of beautiful fall flowers, mostly mums, but several people has succulents which are great all year round. Homemade Bread, rolls, bagels, cookies, cakes,pies.... pretty much anything you could want. Homemade honey, pickles and kimchi. Farms selling lamb, beef and chicken. Homemade cheese and pasta and jams. The vegetables from local farms...some organic. I much prefer buying from the local farmers and not when people are selling out of grocery store bulk purchased boxes.
