this is one place in Die to have stone-baked pizza, there is a very big choice of interesting…read moretoppings. prices are reasonable. the place is geared towards take-away. there are no tables to sit and eat. one of the pizzas we had here was with egg. it turned out the egg was still mostly liquid. other than that the pizzas were pretty good.

Nestled in the middle of Puy St-Martin in what appears to be easily a 200-year-old building. Obviously no parking lot, nor any street parking to speak of. Remember, when these cities were built, there were no automobiles, so it's an a la foot type area. The grub is top notch, presented very well and despite my lack of French comprehension, the staff was as accommodating as can be. Go here, you'll be glad you did.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay for the night and we found it! The Auberge La Plaine was on our route and looked great online. It is a beautifully restored farmhouse in the countryside. The very refreshing pool was a treat for my husband and the wonderful vegetation and what was left of the vegetable garden (this time of yr) was treat for me to see. The evening's meal, though large portions, we're very tasty. Aside from a derogatory comment about the American's (which didn't really offend me, being one...yet did make me wonder about his treatments of other less 'open minded' American) made by the proprietor, the stay was very pleasant. I passed the comment off as ignorance, as I believe he has not met many Americans. I thought the place was lovely and would visit it again.

First time I went at this restaurant was in 2012, and it was the last time, because it's in a small village out of Valence, name is Crest (read kré with a French accent please !) and it's not usually a place I'm used to go. so the name is just a small game between Tour de Crest and Crêpe, really creative, kind I really Like!! Do I need to speak about the service? The meals? Desserts?? Only Word: EXCELLENT! Anyway I was speaking about that place since many years and never had time to get there! Really big mistake of mine! If you are around stop by you will no be deceived. Breton's they are, kings of all crepes and cidre too, that's what they are known for in France. And I swear they do it good!! You can count around 40/45 Euros if you are a big eater (Entry, main course, dessert and alcohol). But anyway take a reservation if not you will stay out because it's almost full everytime!!! And having the meal in summer night and seing the Crest Tower fully lighten is an extra gift ;)
