She rushed back and said the kitchen was closed at 21:00! It was only 21:04 and they were not willing to serve us food. So why were we given menus?! The waitress was very sorry. We left. Pretty crummy to see us, give us menus, I'll allow us to order and then say the kitchen is closed. That's service for you at this restaurant. I would've given one star, but the waitress was very apologetic.

The restaurant upstairs is ugly but quirky. And the food ? Ugly, though, and bad. Salad of mini tomatoes and mozzarella (di buffala) of which only the basil was tasty. Pan-fried chanterelles (canned) tasteless, except for the burnt one served with linguini in the microwave sprinkled with a tasteless grana di parmigiana. The oil on the table is the one used to lubricate locks. To visit but not to eat there. The waitress, on the other hand, is helpful and funny.
