It took an hour for our main course! We were near the kitchen and could hear them pounding the schnitzel while we were eating our salad. There was only one cook but the restaurant was small and not even at 40% capacity. The fried prawns were over cooked and the pasta flavorless. The 2 types of schnitzel and cordon bleu were all the same flavor and thickness. We didnt finish our plates so on the positive side we didnt over eat. We thought about dessert at the beginning but nah not here.

Mrs. Steinert seems to run the place during the weekdays whilst at weekends she takes care of her grandchildren leaving the heavy work to her son. They have obviously learnt what they are doing and take great care on a familier basis over their hotel and restaurant customers. Not really a place to visit if you don't like steps, there is no lift, and I personaly have a problem with sloping roofs in the rooms on the third floor. The breakfast was what one might call adequate but only local produce and very tasty. A very good local and not pricey wine list, visited by locals who justv want a bite, and others that require full culinary and local cuisine services. It is the sort of place to just feel easy and always return to.

Wir hatten zwei Gäste dabei gehabt, und alle unsere Platten waren ganz schmackhaft. Eins war Schnitzel mit Kartoffel- und Gemischtesalat, noch eins war Cordon Bleu mit Spätzle, and die andere zwei waren Jägerschnitzel mit Spätzle und Salat. Können wir dieses Gasthaus völlig empfehlen! Alles war perfekt. Wir werden sicherlich zurückkehren! Das Foto ist vom Teller meiner Frau, die Jägerschnitzel bestellt hat. Die Portionen war so Groß, daß die hur halb essen konnten.
