This is a Michelin-starred restaurant on the grounds of a golf club in Pulheim and it is easily the best meal we've had in Cologne. There were options for a) a tasting menu with about 7 courses, b) a petit menu with perhaps 4 (?) or a la carte dining. We took the petit menu with one addition from the regular menu and a dessert substitution. It was incredible. The chef obviously had a great time thinking up interesting color/texture/taste combinations without being too precious about it -- i.e. No "essence" or "foam" to replace something to chew. Our courses included a vegetarian spread that had pickled beets and honey mustard ice cream, amazing trout with elderflower, deer, and scallops with gourds. The homemade carrot muffins were delicious. The atmosphere was also nice -- looked a bit like a ski lodge -- without taking itself so seriously. Special occasion meal for special occasion prices -- we will definitely be returning. read more
