Greeted warmly and seated even though we had no reservation. They featured a special seasonal menu featuring mushroom dishes (Pilze). I had a tasty mushroom with bacon in a cream sauce over tagliatelle noodles. Yummy. Added a Berliner Kindle "vom Fass". One sip and you know why beer from the tap beats the world's best beer from the bottle (Anchor Steam is my benchmark, so the bar is set pretty high)

She translated the menu for us and made a number of very nice recommendations. The marinated ribs were superb. We also had a pork dish. Julia suggested the apple strudel for dessert which we paired with rote gruetze, a German berry dessert. We sat outside and enjoyed a pleasant summer evening.

There is a great selection of beers and the pricing is also nice. There is a sit down area for dining, as well as a more traditional bar. There are also some cheap bar games like foosball, pool, and digital card machines. Had I spent more time in Steglitz, I might have gone here multiple times as they server breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have a wide variety of items.

Very filling! Day two we enjoyed the breakfast for two which consisted of three German pancakes with a yummy cream to put on top, various croissants and rolls with butter and preserves, and the tiered presentation of scrambled eggs, various cheeses, fruit, olives, prosciutto, turkey, salmon, and a nice horseradish sauce. Both of us enjoyed the freshness and just the right amount.
