Trying to find a good pizza is like looking for a needle in a haystack sometimes. But here you are on the safe side. Lovely and crispy Italian pizzas with the usual topics or your own creation. Don't expect chicken curry on a pizza, but the usual goodies: Pizza Tonno is probably my favorite. The building does not really do the restaurant any justice. It looks like a dull apartment building with a bar at the bottom, but inside the restaurant is designed in a very cosy, countryhouse style. In the summer you can sit outside on the grassy area or under a gazebo. The waiters are a bit strange, but my experience tells me that is the typical Italian waiter attitude by now. They are friendly and generally the service is great. Skip the bread in the beginning though (why bother with dry, white bread) and enjoy the bruschetta instead. Great wine list, great choice of food and the complimentary schnapps at the end can be chosen by you (Sambucca, Grappa or whatever you want). Prices are a bit high, but well worth it. read more

Great service, great dinner! The meals were served a lot faster than expected. Nice environment. Prices were very reasonable. Excellent location for both large and small parties. I would certainly come back. read more

This restaurant is exactly what you want when you live nearby. It is also worth it, when a little…read morelonger drive is included, because the food, service and design is simply fantastic. The menu is oversee-able and contains high quality and an absolutely fair price. The service is perfect and we asked for a blanket for our dog, and it was there in a second. The stay was filled with enjoyment and I can recommend this restaurant 100%. (I just doesn't have pizza, but the nice atmosphere and people make up for that!)

Il Nuovo Cristallo has become one of our favorite go-to Friday evening dinner options in Zehlendorf. The food itself is quite good, although I think without the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, it would only garner 4 stars. The menu is pretty standard Italian: pizza, pasta, meat, fish, antipasti, dessert. Good wine options, and a full bar. The dining room is light and welcoming, and in the summer they have both a patio and lawn seating. The waiters are all very friendly and welcoming. Once we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, and they brought us all a little drink while we waited. It's little touches like this that get them up to 5 stars. Wir gehen einmal bis zweimal im Monat ins Nuovo Christallo und jedesmal sind wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und der Bedienung. Die Pizza und Pasta war ohne Fehl und Tadel, allerdings war das Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen sowohl in Fleischqualität als auch vom zerkochten Gemüse her nicht zu empfehlen. Die Weinschorle war leider auch arg dünn. Schade, wir waren bisher anderes gewöhnt. read more
