Das Geniesserrestaurant von Familie Krainer, eingebettet in die berg- und waldreiche Region des steirischen Mürztales, ist ein familiär geführter, ganz auf nachhaltigen Genuss fokussierter Betrieb mit elegantem Restaurant, Café und Hotel. Astrid und Andreas Krainer sind gut vernetzt mit regionalen Produzenten, in ihrer gemeinsamen Arbeit in der Küche gehen Tradition, Verantwortung und kreative Phantasie Hand in Hand. Eine Art "Neue steirische Küche", die auch dem Slow Food-Gedanken nahe steht. Die herzliche und gastfreundliche Atmosphäre im Restaurant wird von den Seniorchefs Rita und Hermann Krainer im Service mitgetragen.

History

Established in 1998.

Am 1. Mai 1998 erfüllten sich Rita und Hermann Krainer einen Lebenstraum und eröffneten das damalige "Hotel Kohlbacher" neu. Seit Anfang 2006 schwingen Sohn Andreas und seine Frau Astrid die Kochlöffel im jetzigen Krainer. 2007 erhalten sie im Gourmet Führer "Gault Millau" ihre erste Haube. Vom Französischen Restaurant Führer Michelin bekommen die jungen Küchenchefs einen Bib Gourmand. Seit 2011 hält das Küchenteam konstant 2 Hauben.
