I've always loved this chain growing up when we would come here on a Friday night, as a family, and order their special hot dogs and French fries. When I knew i would be in Montreal, I was for sure going to La Belle Province for a poutine.
Once it was ordered, I didn't have to wait too long, less than 5 minutes. This chain has a diner feel to it, so you can see behind the counter, and the staff prepping and frying delicious goodness.
Once that poutine was in my hands it was over. I was ready too dive right in. The first couple bites were just ok. I was waiting for the cheese to slightly melt, but it didn't. And, it had to much gravy. The cheese to fries to gravy ratio was off.
Next time I don't mind coming back and just having fries with the gravy on the side, hold the curds. read more
