If you want good food, great beer, and relatively close to everything in Morzine, check out Bec…read moreJaune brewery. It is about 3 blocks from the Super Pleney lift and 2 blocks from the Super Morzine lift, which puts it in a great location to either lift. But mainly it was between our hotel and the Super Pleney lift which meant great beer after a long day of terrifying skiing that was much needed. The brewery is run by a guy from London who was at Camden brewery before deciding that he wanted to open up his own brewery. Since the brewer is from London, most of the beer are good, solid ales. They do go to the American side a bit by adding more hops (which I enjoy) but there beer is very good. The three nights we were in Morzine, we ate and drank at Bec Jaune every single night. This was a mix of ease of location, nothing bad there, and very well priced compared to other places around Morzine. They do not charge ski resort prices, which made us happy. Besides making great beer, their food menu isn't very extensive but tasty. We tried a Burrito Bowl - a large serving bowl with rice, black beans, avocados, sour cream, chicken, and salsa, burgers, large potato wedges, and their chili. After a long day of skiing and not much eating these healthy portions helped us get through the night. I do not feel bad for not giving any other places in Morzine a chance because Bec Jaune is a great brewery that serves good food. If you can find a spot to sit down then enjoy the time not being strapped to skis have a great pint. For more information and pictures check out our site : www.thegreatcubeescape.com

This is probably the first five star review i am giving to a restaurant where i kind of didn't hand…read moreover any cash. Why so you ask? ....so having booked a tour taking me from Geneva to the Chamonix valley there was an option to have a the lunch included for an extra 20 euros which made sense being that what we ended up having would have cost around 50 euros. I wish i wrote these reviews sooner so i could explain the starter and desert but all i can say is that they were great. The mains is the dish i do remember, there were two choices and i went for the grilled salmon and it had to be possibly the best grilled salmon i have ever had in my life. Like so delicious i even took a bite out of my friends when she was not looking. The service was superb with it not being so busy we had an attentive waiter at all times. Location is at the foot of the mountains, and right in Chamonix town but maybe a bit out of the way now i am back in England :(

Besides that, the place is also child friendly! Food served very fast and prepared with fresh ingredients, which could be told by tasting my daughters hamburger. No frost burger but the real stuff!!! We returned 3 times in the afternoon, chilling on their comfortable terrace. Be aware; the part where the sun beds / lounge chairs are located, is self service zone :s However if you are lucky you'll have the same waiter as us, who was working hard and willing to fulfill our thirsty needs ;) Also a great DJ was playing super cool beats through speakers placed late afternoon-ish ;) So if you are at Avoriaz, definitely go to this stylish place!!!

HOLY HELL - this place is a dream! We were staying at a local chalet in Morzine, and we popped in…read morehere for our chef's night off, and honestly, thank god he had to take a night off as getting to come here was a HUGE treat. We had already been eating like royalty at the chalet, so leaving we were a little nervous and then BOOM, everything you expect from French cuisine around quality and flavor came through here. The foie gras was legitimately the best I've ever have enter my mouth. I could have ordered that consistently for hours. I wish it was like a Brazilian steakhouse where I could have taken out my paddle and kept flagging down the staff for them to serve me unlimited plates of that damn thing. So freaking good. As a large group, we opted for a fondue and a hot stone meat plate and they were exactly what we needed. Perfect portions and able to try the bounty of this places riches. CHEESE ME PLEASE is what it felt like. I had a Chablis from the gods. The dessert trio was a perfect way to dabble in all the goodies. You must go here when in Morzine. It's a little wonderland ;)

I mean who says that. Don't walk into a restaurant might be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The door was wide open essentially welcoming anyone on the street. On top of that there were plenty of people in the restaurant. If you want to eat here you might have to quantum tunnel through the door and then float to your seat. If you enjoy terrible experiences, abysmal service and gross negligence towards customers be my guest and eat at this atrocious establishment.
