Nice people (didn't matter that our French was dreadful), and literally right at the base of the climb. Highly recommended for cyclists wishing to carbo load. Yes, that big plate of spaghetti is going to slow you down for 30 minutes or so, but it's a 15mile + grind so you'll be happy later.

She made fun of my wife's french saying "blah blah blah blah". Would not tell us the specials and told us to get up and read it ourselves. Then angrily insisted that the six of us sit at a small table for four...yet there was no one else at the restaurant! She sneered at each request until we had to leave. All of us are in our late sixties. She was mid thirties, blond, gaps in her teeth. Eat at the Savoy across the street or even at the market down the street. Truly embarrassing and hurtful experience no matter how nice and accommodating we tried to be.
