A ticket machine accept a credit card. If you don't have a time to buy a ticket, a machine is also inside a bus. After arriving at the airport around 11pm, I was exhausted. Check in was smooth and a staff mentioned that a hotel restaurant is open until 1:30am, which was nice as I didn't think we can get access to food until next morning. Fairly new hotel it seems, inside was very clean. We were there for about 7 hours and didn't want anything fancy. This was a perfect overnight hotel.

This hotel has a couple great things. First the price. The price was the cheapest hotel in Geneva by far and that made it a great place to stay. Second it is right across the street from the Lake and the lake was beautiful. The Lake is crystal blue waters with the Alps surrounding it which make it for the perfect picture. The rooms are large and spacious. They had big tubs with shower heads so you could take a shower or bath. The windows of this hotel opened a little so you could get some fresh air in your room which was super nice. Also they all came with a day bed by the window which was nice to sit on and relax. You can get this hotel where it includes breakfast with your stay. We left right before they put out the breakfast but were able to grab some pastries. They were really tasty. I would for sure recommend this hotel and they will for sure see me on my next visit to Geneva!

Everything is overpriced there and because Geneva's top restaurants prey on the unrefined palates of bankers, businessmen and policymakers who have to travel through Geneva, it leaves people looking for an affordable, high quality meal really out of luck. Lucky for you, you can travel to the neighboring French town of Ferney Voltaire (take the F bus) and enjoy a fantastic prix fixe meal at Hotel de France for the same price and get in addition to a starter, plate, and dessert -- an amuse bouche as well as a selection of cheese from one of the most diverse cheese carts I've yet encountered in Europe. I generally turn my nose at hotel restaurants but Hotel de France does a good job of putting together a menu that will please anyone. Vegetarian options available. Each plate is composed and recognizes a need for balancing flavors and textures. Each plate is artistically presented. La Reserve is not in my opinion the absolute best location nor is the architecture the most beautiful. But, where they may be weak in those categories, they make up the distance and more by providing amazing service, spa and culinary experience offered to there guests. We had the pleasure of staying in the resort for a couple weeks during our daughters involvement with a Juilliard music program in Geneva. You know when you have reached the height of of customer service when all the staff addresses you by name and has a sincere concern for your well being. That is how we felt by the time we had to depart. Like making a new family. We will be in Geneva next summer and for sure we will be staying at La Reserve.
