I was driving through Baden Baden and hadn't a good schnitzel yet, this wasn't too far off my route, so I thought I should make a spot. It was rainy and the restaurant was fairly empty, so I had my schnitzel, fries, and beer in a quiet place. The schnitzel was very good, the beer was good, the fries needed to be fried a bit longer, and service was fine. A decent meal that helped me with my cravings, but there probably are better places in the area.

We were hungry and stopped by here after seeing it earlier during walking tour of area on river cruise. We opted to eat downstairs due to weather. See photo. Menu choices was just what we wanted soup and salad. One can also eat outside along sidewalk or upstairs. And WC was available. Menu in multiple languages. I tried the wifi connection but couldn't connect while there.

We came to visit badem badem and decided to try the traditional german food. We had a sausage sample platter that was very good, and my daughter had the schnitzel which was very good. The service was good, and we sat outside which was very nice. I recommend this restaurant if you're ever in badem badem.

Although the uniforms are a bit overdone (like going to an American Oktoberfest), the food is great. We got asparagus crème soup, goulash, potato cakes with cheese and tomatoes, and sausages. All good food, although the service was verrry slow.

You can tell this place is meant for tourists, but it didn't bother us! The meal was still delicious (and for tourists, they accept credit card!). My friend and I split the gargantuan-sized pork knuckle and side salad. The portion still left us with leftovers and stuffed to the point where someone needed to roll us out of there. It was ultra crispy, juicy, and piping hot. It did take some time for our table to be served, but the restaurant was packed at the time and the weather was sunny that day. One star down for this reason, but it is also understandable for a meal to be less rushed in Europe.

Indoor space where the smoker was !

It deserves a 5 star rating but letting a couple smoke in an enclosed space is why I removed a star. We loved our delicious meal! The service was impeccable! The prices very reasonable. Great great restaurant! BUT we hated the smoke!!! Those people should have smoked OUTSIDE

We had a short amount of time here in Baden-Baden and I really wanted to experience a bier and a brat. We sat down and ordered, the bier came out quickly but as out busses departure time got closer, no brat. When asked about the waitress had misunderstood me and no brat was coming. The bier was good but the lack of food left me disappointed.

Visited here after a long days work and they did not disappoint. It was late 8pm, and in the off season, so we were able to seat and easy very quickly. We started with the Pumpkin cream soup which is not on the main menu, but you MUST ask for it. (Kürbiscremesuppe mit Kürbisöl). I tried the 6 Sausage from Nuremberg (Nürnberger Würstle) and my colleagues had the chicken salad, filet, pork tenderloins, and knuckle. All delicious and served hot. Definitely a great ambiance with some great food.

Beer Halls/Gardens are one of my favorite places to go when in Germany (isn't it everyones?). And it's probably not fair to compare one in Baden Baden to those in Munich, which is famous for Octoberfest, but I'm sure there are better places to eat and drink than Lowenbrau. I had a Radler (when in Germany, right?), and it was fine, but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sausages - doesn't every restaurant do sausages right in Germany? They were bland and tasteless and required a huge dousing in mustard. Also, I ordered pretzels to go with my sausages, but the pretzels didn't arrive till I was almost done and the sausages were pretty much cold.

Great beer in an even better setting

Based on the 3.5 star review average, I was a little hesitant to come here but I am so glad that I did. The setting is beautiful in the beer garden with hundreds of flowers and twinkly lights in the treetops. They also have indoor and patio seating which looked comfortable as well. The menu is extensive and all the best of Bavaria foods to try. The food which we had was wonderful, cooked perfectly and came out quick. I had the veal schnitzel with a huge lemon and an amazing side salad instead of fries. My dining partner had the pork with beer sauce, cabbage and a dumpling which was huge and very tasty. The service was excellent and very friendly and attentive. I would return here anytime! Tourist or not - it's worth your time.

Baden-Baden was toward the end of our Germany trip, so we were delighted to get one last night in a traditional Bavarian biergarten.

Wow! What a great find! I was craving some good Schnitzel, so I looked on Yelp, and this place came…read moreup. I read about it and saw it had a Michelin rating, and the reviews were great! Plus, it was out of the city center, more of a neighborhood place. As fate would have it, I was on a walk and saw that this place was minutes away. It was early, around 5 PM, and they were just opening for dinner. I strolled the streets until I arrived, and walked in through the back, and straight into their beautiful courtyard. The courtyard was beautiful, several tables all set and ready for the dinner crowd. I walked toward the restaurant and saw the daily special board, but there were no staff, at least outside. I checked out the board and saw they had Pfefferlingcremesuppe, which is one of my favorite foods! A minute later, a woman walked out and greeted me. I told her I knew it was a Friday, but would there be a table for 2 available? She smiled and said I could come now or at 8:30- I chose 8:30 as 5 pm was a little too early to eat. I left and came back at 8:30, the place was buzzing, and the courtyard was packed! My dining partner couldn't make it, so it was just me. The same woman was there to greet me, she smiled when she saw me and brought me to a table in the middle of the courtyard. I was seated and given a menu. I ordered a cold beer and perused the menu. While there were many great things on the menu, I already knew what I wanted, so when she returned, I ordered the soup and the Schnitzel. The soup was delicious and a large serving, and when I finished, my Schnitzel arrived, with fried potatoes and bacon, and a nice salad. Even though I was by myself, I immensely enjoyed the atmosphere; this place is all local, all having a great time, and friends greeting each other. Service was on point, attentive without being overbearing, and friendly! I had another beer and enjoyed the ambiance, and then paid my bill and walked back to my hotel. Such a great dinner and experience! I will definitely be back here on my next visit to Baden Baden!

Busy! Consider a reservation…read more Delicious beef tartare, especially the appetizer. My main course was less memorable but good. Warm service. The highlight of Baden Baden for me.
