The chicken thigh yakitori was OK- some little bits were blackened which gave this dry bad burned aftertaste. The eel nigiri was really delicious. However the scallop nigiri tasted off, and unpleasantly bitter. The rhubarb dessert I didn't like at all, and left the whole thing. They gave me a chocolate mousse on the house because they noticed I didn't eat the dessert, but I didn't really like the mousse either. The desserts really weren't well balanced, I'd take them off the menu entirely. The cream was overwhelmingly sweet, rhubarb mushy, and crumbles perplexing. I get what they were going for with adding texture but it didn't work. The mousse was two note, raspberry and chocolate, overwhelmingly sweet. The worst part was about 10 minutes after leaving, my stomach started to hurt terribly. It was definitely something I ate there. I had horrible stomach cramps/pains and sickness following. I won't go into the details, but I didn't have anything else to eat and this came upon pretty soon after leaving the restaurant, so I'm certain it was from something there. Maybe the scallops I thought were off? I trusted all of the great reviews.. assumed they know how to handle their shellfish. Maybe the dessert? I don't know what made me sick here, and I'll spare you the details, but I'm stuck having to stay close to the bathroom now and I am not thrilled.

This place is mall and filthy. The service is incredible rude and the sushi is just super low quality the taste totally disappointing. We ended up tossing our food because we were so dissatisfied with the taste and quality.

I absolutely love sushi. Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant ordering from here, because of how cheap/discounts that were advertised outside the restaurant. Main reason why is, since I consume raw sushi I am certainly cautious. One of my classmates told me it wasn't bad, therefore, I became more open to it. I ordered California rolls and salmon nigri to go! Generous portions, and it tasted fine! Our first stop was in Prague, and I did not come across any sushi places - I was having sushi withdrawals... haha so I was very content after my meal! - small restaurant - super nice staff! * I miss Central/Eastern Europe, home to return in the future! This time, our daughters convinced us they had their fill (for now) of Austrian food and wanted sushi. My daughter got a recommendation for a "good sushi place" within a 15 min walk of our hotel in Schweidenplatz. Our concierge recommended TokoRi, saying he often comes here himself. The decor is, well, Japanese. Cool fishtanks and a little fountain on the wall next to our table flowed into a little river running down the middle of the table. The tables are communal, but have plexiglas dividers between parties. We ordered: miso soups, California rolls (my younger daughter's only choice), gyoza, shrimp temporary, and the sushi sampler. The sushi was HUGE rolls, with generous fish on even more generous rice. It was tasty and fresh and held together well. The only dissapointment was the gyoza. My wife described the very finely minced filling as tasteless. And the price was very reasonable, given what we have been spending inVienna. Otherwise, if you are looking for good sushi near Scweidenplatz, look no further than TokiRi.

Three words, same thing... it's true, that this little shop has the word "sushi" within its name, but so many sushi shops already spam the area within and close to the 6th district, that i get myself bored b*tch*ng around this particular topic. It's cheap... it's ok.. that is more than enough to say. BUT!!!!!! Those three words above describe this small shops delicious extra, which I could eat night and day, without stopping to ask for seconds. Every time I get close to this shop a path of drool is left behind because I know... I'll soon be in Gyoza, Jiaozi.. whatever, cooked and fried dumpling heaven with a home mixed sauce(where one can leave some ingredients out if they do not like coriander for instance) Darn it... even writing about them dumplings makes my mouth watery... Edo Sushi make them themselves, so different and experimental fillings decorate the menu and all for a super cheap price(the cheapest set with 12 dumplings is 4,80), that even my tightly choked wallet springs open like a jack in the box. I admit to not having tasted the more regular menus although a friend of mine calls them them quite good... but I do not mind them.. as a true dumpling addict, my brain needs the regular dosage. Though the interior is minimalistic beyond imagination... I don't really care as the food is for take out as well. Cook it, fry it, eat it and go with the the dumpling flow...
