Great atmosphere for an al fresco restaurant although you can also choose to eat inside. We all enjoyed every bite. The four of us chose different entrees. I had the chanterelles dripping Ina lovely cream sauce with dumplings. Spectacular! My friend had the wiener achnizle which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by a delicious potato salad. Another had the trout with spaghetti, savory and my daughter had the goulash. All very good. You really cannot order wrong here. All the ingredients are local and fresh. We will be back!

The facility has a banquet hall on the grounds for larger events or groups. We had dinner last night it was elegant and of superior quality. I had venison with chantrel and crimini mushrooms and spaetzln. My wife had the trout and potatoes. Our children had stroganoff and veal. Everything tasted superb and was cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse with fresh fruit, it's was excellent. We often have this problem with food in North America but this is the first time we've experienced it in a European restaurant, which is probably indicative of some pesticide or other impurity in the food. Unfortunately, the service was also poor. We waited some time for someone to acknowledge us and nearly 20 minutes after we finished our food before being asked if we wanted coffee. After declining the coffee we continued to wait for the cheque until I finally gave up and went inside to pay.

Potato pancakes with mushrooms, the salmon lox with potato pancakes, and the pork medallions. All three of these where very well prepared and all three people noted how great they tasted. The pricing is ridiculously fair. The dinning room is very neat and clean. The wait staff professional and prompt. Bottom line. Go. Great all around.
